Mentoring

At The Millennium School Ltd, importance is attributed equally to both the physical as well as the mental welfare of students.

Physical welfare is maximised through the School’s excellent Inter-Class and Inter-House Sports programmes and Extra-Curricular Activities.

For mental and holistic welfare, the School:

  • adopts a Mentoring Programme  - every student of the School is assigned a Mentor, usually a member of the School’s esteemed Teaching Faculty, who is responsible for the child’s social and academic welfare, both within the School community and in the home environment. Ideally, a student should be able to see his or her mentor as a personal counsellor to whom he or she may fearlessly open up to, with the expectation of a degree of confidentiality and discretion to be maintained in keeping with the School’s Child Welfare and Protection Policy. All Mentors are well trained in this area and also in the area of academic counselling and mentoring and are well able to guide students in organising and setting up conducive study habits and personal time tables of study, as well as dealing with examination pressure.
  • adopts a clearly defined and accessible protocol, which students may use to obtain help for any type of problem they may be facing, be it academic or personal.
