The Cotswold Challenge is a 26.4 mile route for Walkers or Runners or a 18 miles for Walkers.

Please note that entries will close either on 15th September or when the entry limit of 200 is reached. No Entries on The Day
The route starts from Birdlip Village Hall (SO 928 143) and and returns to the 'hilly route' taking in Bisley, Slad Valley, Haresfield & Painswick Beacons & Coopers Hill.

A new 18 mile route is available for Walkers only..

A common route of 26.4 miles is now available for Walkers or Runners.All routes must be completed in 10 hours

On-line entry costs £7.20 for LDWA members & £11.20 for non-members.

Walkers on both routes will start at 8.30. Runners will start at 9.30

All participants should carry OS Explorer Series Maps 179 or Landranger 162 & 163. Satelite navigation devices covering the same area are acceptable. It is recommended that participants also carry a compass, food/drink, simple first aid and money.
The Cotswolds rise to 1000ft (300m) and can be very unpleasant in bad weather.  Underfoot conditions can vary considerably along the route.  Entrants are advised to check weather conditions, wear sensible footwear and carry waterproof/windproof clothing.
There will be several checkpoints on the route.  Most will supply cold drinks and some will supply simple food and hot drinks. All entrants should carry food/drink of their own to supplement these provisions.  Please note it is essential to bring a mug, as no cups will be provided at checkpoints.
There will be hot drinks and a simple meal at the finish.
 
All finishers will receive a certificate. Badges will be on sale at the finish.
Dogs must be on a lead and covered by third party insurance.
Baggage may be left, at the owner’s risk, at the start venue.

Don't forget to turn up at Birdlip Village Hall on Saturday 22nd September 2018 (with mug).
