Dolphin Discovery Centre

Our Dolphin Discovery Centre is closed while we finish construction of our new facilities.  It is due to reopen in December 2018.

Our Dolphin Eco Cruises will still operate year round subject to weather and our swim tours will be operating as of November as usual.  The City of Bunbury have new assets along Koombana Bay including a fantastic playground, additional parking , a kiosk and a beach auditorium.

In May 2017 we began our redevelopment to improve and add to our existing facilities.  Construction work began and our volunteer building and research room has been moved off its existing site to the block next door in preparation for our building the new Café/Restaurant.

There are a lot of exciting times ahead and we appreciate your support through the process of building our new Café and Discovery Centre.

The Dolphin Discovery Centre in Bunbury WA is 90 minutes south of Perth. Koombana Bay is home to local wild Bottlenose Dolphins who regularly visit the interaction zone at peak times during the year.  Swim with Wild Dolphins or Dolphin Boat Cruises are a great opportunity to interact with the dolphins in their own environment. The philosophy behind our centre is to promote research, conservation and education of the Bottlenose Dolphins and other native marine life.

As Australia's premier wild dolphin destination you can visit the centre and learn more about these magnificent creatures, take a Dolphin Eco Cruise around the Bay or interact with the dolphins in their own environment on a Swim on the Wild Side Tour.

There is also the Interaction Zone where the wild dolphins often come to interact with visitors - This will still be accessible while we are redeveloping, however during the cooler months we don't see the dolphins consistently, remember they are wild dolphins and come and go as they please.
