Yorkshire Coast Radio Gets Biggest Ever Audience

Yorkshire Coast Radio is today celebrating its biggest audience ever.

Figures released by RAJAR see the stations weekly audience increase by 25% year on year, with a whopping 59,200 adults now tuning in every week.

It’s the biggest audience ever for the station that will celebrate 25 years on-air this coming November.

Managing Director, Chris Sigsworth, said:

“Yorkshire Coast Radio now reaches 53% of the area’s population every week. This is a stunning result for us, and shows that there is a growing audience for proper local radio.

The number of stations in our area and choice of listening is greater than ever, so it is reassuring to see that the investment we have made in delivering great local content is proving to be a winner.”
