The Agency, as a body of the European Union, possesses its own legal personality but is distinct from institutions such as the Council, the Parliament, the Commission, etc.
As such, it is subject to the provisions of the Financial Regulation applicable to the general budget of the European Union, the EASA Financial Regulation and the relevant directives relating to the coordination of procedures for the award of public contracts.
