  • My ex-wife’s mother was born in 1930 and was originally left-handed. When she started school, they re-trained her to be right-handed, which was supposedly a common practice in those days. The ending of this practice could be a significant factor in the increase of left-handedness since then.

    Yes, this seems plausible.

In my own case, misfortune re-trained me the other way. I started out right-handed, then a badly broken right arm at age six put me in a cast for an extended period. I came out left-handed. I could no longer use my right-hander's baseball glove. Adults and teachers noted that I had switched hands for writing.

Whether relevant or not, I developed very serious OCD at age fourteen.

Much later, after finishing college in fact, I decided to re-learn writing with my right hand. It only took a few days and I have been an ambidextrous writer ever since. The OCD lingers on in muted form, sometimes flaring up badly, and may or may not have anything to do with this subject.

Happened to me in early 70s grade school. For 2 years I was retrained to dextrousness (dextrocity?), then the practice was abandoned. I re-re-trained myself with the effect that my handwriting remains messy with either hand so, yay keyboards!

  • Boys and girls are different. Once, this difference had been celebrated. Vive la petit difference, exclaimed the French, and other nations also enjoyed it. Now it has lead to multiple troubles, on the seas, in the cities and even in outer space, as you will learn now. Men and women pee in a dissimilar way,...

  • Today’s financial malaise for pension funds, state and local budgets and underemployment is largely a result of the 2008 bailout, not the crash. What was saved was not only the banks – or more to the point, as Sheila Bair pointed out, their bondholders – but the financial overhead that continues to burden today’s economy....

  • It is pretty clear what took place yesterday night. Even if you don’t read Russian, the following chart released by the Russian Ministry of Defense says it all: Basically, 4 Israeli aircraft were sent on a bombing mission against targets near the Russian facilities in Khmeimim and Tartus (which, by itself, is both stupid and...
  • @Kiza
Final thought. The vicious, greedy, murderous human animal invented nuclear weapons a little too early. The animal needed globalisation to bring it into face-to-face resource (oil, fresh water, land) stealing situations, where the nuclear war cannot be avoided. Now is the time for the animal to end itself. Those loudest about fighting terrorism are using terrorism as a main tool of conquest, internally and externally (giving Al Qaeda an Oscar for 911 and for Syria). Bombing Syria 200 times without any reaction by the rest of human animals. Ok end the human animal once and for all, but please, please make sure than not even one Jewish cockroach survives let alone a greedy Jew.

Extinction of species is completely natural, as dinosaurs show. In a million years or two, the Earth will regenerate and start again, without humans and without the greedy Jews. Another chance for the planet.

And the director for those 2 productions starring AQ: the Israeli Deep State.

  • It’s the war from hell, the savage one that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, along with seven other Middle Eastern and North African states, have been waging in Yemen since March 2015, with fulsome support from the Pentagon and American weapons galore. • Introduction In a previous article (‘US: The Century of Lost Wars”) I recorded the repeated US military defeats over the past two decades. In this discussion I will describe the role of military strategists who bear responsibility for the US defeats, but also for Israeli political successes. The key to this apparent contradiction is to...

  • Before his election as president it was understandable that Donald Trump’s critics should have vastly underestimated his ability as a politician. It is much less excusable – and self-destructive to effective opposition to Trump – that they should go on underestimating him almost two years after his victory. Every week there are more revelations showing...
  • @Harold Smith
On April 7, 2017 on the orders of Donald Trump, the U.S. military attacked the Shayrat airbase in Syria with a barrage of 59 cruise missiles.

According to Wikipedia, both civilians and Syrian military personnel were killed in Trump's attack:

"Seven or nine Syrian soldiers were killed,[2][3] including a general;[43] Russian military personnel were also present at the airbase at the time it was attacked.[44] According to Syrian state news SANA, nine civilians were also killed in the attack, including four children. SANA also stated that five of the civilians were killed in the village of Shayrat,[52] outside the base, while another four were killed in the village of Al-Hamrat, and that another seven civilians were wounded when a missile hit homes in Al-Manzul, four kilometers (two and a half miles) away from the Shayrat air base.[53] According to Russian defense ministry, four soldiers were killed and two soldiers were missing.[48]"

How did Trump know that the Syrian government would not retaliate? How did Trump know that a third party (Israel) wouldn't spoof a retaliatory attack by the Syrian government? How did Trump know that this act of aggression wouldn't start a war with Russia? He obviously couldn't have known any of these things beforehand. He obviously didn't give a damn. Trump was not only willing to murder as many Syrians and Russians as might have been at the wrong place at he wrong time during the attack, but he was willing to risk an escalation of hostilities that could've killed many more people.

Trump's attack on Syria was illegal, immoral and unconstitutional; it was a completely indefensible crime.

On August 8 1969, on Charlie Manson's orders, the "Manson family" murdered Sharon Tate and four other people at 10050 Cielo Drive, Los Angeles, CA. On August 9, 1969, they murdered two other people, Leno and Rosemary LaBianca, at 3301 Waverly Drive, Los Angeles, CA.

Donald Trump's mass murder of people in Syria on April 7, 2017, is morally indistinguishable from Charlie Manson's mass murder of people in Los Angeles on Aug 8 and 9, 1969 in Los Angeles CA.

Charles Manson's attack on people in Los Angeles was illegal and immoral; it was a completely indefensible crime.

Charles Manson = psychotic mass murdering psychopath = Donald Trump.

Agree only to the extent that practically every president in the US has been a murdering psychopath to some degree. Comes with the territory, unfortunately.

A brief note in reply. Male circumcision is not nearly as terrible as female genital mutilation, for the reasons you describe. However, it can result in diminished sensitivity and consequently a deleterious effect on sexual relations.

This is not only a matter of male pleasure, but also of a man's ability to participate in subtleties of intercourse with women. To put it bluntly, sex is better for both partners if the man's glans has been protected by its sheath so that all its nerve endings are in proper working order: He can better sense and respond to what is going on.

There are no health reasons to cut off the skin that nature put there. Compared to women's genitals, with all their folds and moist areas, that part of a man is simple and easy to keep clean; it is much less prone to infection than what women have.

Totally agree. Male circumcision should be strongly discouraged, despite the propaganda from certain (((doctors))) that it decreases the risk of HIV infection. The Gates Foundation bought this nonsense and has been promoting the practice in Africa. Not that it’s in any way our problem, but African men will likely view it as a magic talisman and be even less likely to use condoms.
As for female circumcision, we need to adopt a zero-tolerance policy now before such barbarism achieves acceptance in the West. BTW, it’s usually the women who are often the most insistent that their daughters are mutilated.

That doesn’t mean I have a problem with Jews in general — just those particular Jews. What a racket, weaponizing your ethnicity so that any and criticism is considered Anti-Semitism!

It's not a matter of ethnicity. That is all lies.

You sound apologetic, scared of being told you are anti the fake Jewish ethnicity. The Jews are the worst anti-Semites of all time.

I do have a problem with Jews in general. In many decades they have done nothing about the continuous ethnic cleansing of real Semites of Palestine in their name. A minority of them don't support it. Jews in general do. And for a cultural minority who holds it a sin not to hate Americans (with the exception of their own crowd) to be the rulers of America and all Americans (I'm not one) is a little problematic. It's not improved by the fact that the rulers of America not only hate Americans but assassinate them on a large scale whenever convenient.

There is hope. Let's all support Neturei Karta, the Jews who are adamant that the state with the name "Israel" has no right to exist. They are Ashkenazi Haredim, non-Modern Orthodox Jews. They agree with Iran's opinions on that state, "Israel".

They are poor. Living in "Israel" but boycotting it, refusing to be bought, has that effect. Perhaps they will accept help from other anti-Zionists.

I don't blame the Jews for the 2008 financial crisis, though. They played a deceitful game, but non-Jewsh bankers would have too. The money game. Part of the solution there is to nationalize reserve banks. Another is to not allow a corporation to itself be the owner of stocks and shares in corporations, so mergers can't happen. The fiction that a corporation is a person with the same rights as any other person needs to be made legally false.
    , @Anon
I agree, with you Jews in general are just favored people whenever things like admission to a college or graduate program or a job or a bank loan are concerned, but that favouritism produces an out come bias which always favors the Jewish candidate over the other.. This bias is a function not of the individual Jewish person, nor of any any particular situation (in fact that favored individual Jewish person may not be aware of the bias, but it is "just that bias" that keep Jews on top., and the Zionist network work is behind it.

WWI was a regime change war fought to change control of the richest oil lands in the world. from Ottoman Empire to a government controlled by Network Zionist. It resulted in the British controlling the middle East and France Controlling Syria. (British and French Banksters were behind this)

The fire, set at the city of Salonika by the Ottomans in reprisal for a Zionist Network coup attempt result in Jewish wealth leaving the Ottoman Empire, led to the over throw of the Tzar government in Russia 1917, led to the Irish majority in NYC being replaced by an immigrant Jewish majority in 1908-1913, forced America to enter WWI, and produced The Balfour Agreement.
WWII was fought to deny Germany access to the oil in the middle east and the atrocities of that war were developed into Jewish victims are entitled to their own homeland propaganda. But the goal of the Zionist (banker and capitalist) Network was to take the oil from the Arabs, driving European Jews into the Ottoman Territory, the Balfour Agreement, two world wars, regime change in Russia, and converting a military base [Israel, 1948] in the middle of the Arab oil into a nation of laws, were just methods used to accomplish the goal (take the oil from the Arab).

Network Zionism is about wealth and power. Sufficient numbers of Jews in defeated Ottoman territories would allow Jews to out vote the Ottomans. Sufficient Jewish population would transform Muslim rights into Jewish rights. a whole book about this is being developed.

There's no realistic way to fix this. The average IQ in that country is in the low 80s. They're not fit for anything but a more primitive type of society which they have already bypassed the carry capacity for. When they gained a lot of wealth previously from natural resources like oil, they had to have western engineers and other types come in and actually set things up for them i.e. build them functioning infrastructure. This wealth has also been used to feed unsustainable population growth in their countries far beyond what they could possibly sustain on their own.

The oil wealth in a lot of these Arab countries has just been a gigantic Malthusian wealth transfer from the populations that created the technology to get the oil out and use the oil to those who simply sit on the land the oil is being extracted from.

    Biff,

The government changed it in the 80s. Burmese is the largest ethnic group of the country, but the country has dozens of other groups. It isn't suitable to use the name of an ethnic group for the country, I guess. Similar to England-Britain. Or Persia - Iran, not all Iranians are Persian. And Myanmar is actually the real old name of the country.

That may be the official line. My observation is that in many cases when a country changes its name, it presages a bloodbath or at least an ethnic cleansing:
    Russia -> USSR
    Cambodia->Kampuchea
    D.R. Congo -> Zaire
    Rhodesia -> Zimbabwe
Central African Republic -> Central African Empire

My theory is that it’s because official name changes are generally frivolous, expensive, and pointless. Just the sort of thing a dictator or other absolute ruler would do.

By the way, England is just one constituent part of Great Britain.

One good example of useful idiots willfully swallowing jew lies would be how jews representing 2% of the Russian population were the majority of ruling bolsheviks and had a near monopoly on the Cheka/NKVD, yet jews always come back and claim "but Lenin wasn't a jew". Aside from the fact that these non-jew claims about Lenin are very dubious, it is clear that jews always find a crypto or a sufficiently blackmaleable shabbez goyim to be their front man.

This "New Rome" narrative was most likely one of those jew narratives used to cover up what was really going on: implementation of the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. How do I know? Because the Protocols are nearly a perfect road map of how we went from Europeans ruling the planet to Europeans on the verge of total genocide.

Because it was jews and thier masonic puppets who started the entire war, like virtually every other war in the last 200 years, if not far longer.

Andrew Jackson won the Presidency by carrying the entire south in 1828 and 1832. He famously killed the Bank of the US in 1836 and saved the US from jew usury basically until 1913. Of course the jew international bankers could not let this stand. So they provoked the War of Northern aggression, where the Yankees of the the north east invaded and conquered and holocausted the South as a message to the entire world: to try to deny the Rothschilds control of your banking system is to invite a holocaust onto your people.

The war of Northern Aggression actually started with the Kansas-Nebraska act which unleashed the episode known as "Burning Kansas", which could be compared to Polish and Czech purges of ethnic Germans in the lead of the Second World War for Eretz Israel. In all these cases, that some jews suffered for the Rothschild cause is irrelevant, as the actions of international jewery in the lead up and during WWII clearly indicate. Clearly the three jew stooges, Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin bombed all the transport leading into the German labor camps in order to provoke fodder for the post war atrocity propaganda blitz that was used to cover up the real genocide of Germans.

So it was in the south too. The burning of Atlanta, Charleston and Richmond paralleling the burning of Dresden, Hamburg and Pforzheim and the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The message is clear: don't even think about trying to regain control of your money creation from the Rothschild and the Kabal or goy holocausts will happen.

Solution: Either abandon the whole ‘hate crime’ category, which I support, or treat every instance of an inter-group crime as a hate crime. Thus murder would carry a stronger sentence, for example, if the perpetrator and victim come from different groups. In an increasingly multi-cult nation this might be the best thing to preserve the peace. We can’t go preying on other groups if we are going to keep the lid on this thing.

Spot on iSteveFan. I was going to make the same point.

This "hate crime" thing is being weaponized against whites. Whites in some cases who haven't even done much of anything. (Note: I'm perfectly happy for this POS to hang--he seems to be an odious creature, who should have been exiled from civilized society long ago. Turn him into dogfood. But it's not clear to me there was any element of hate here.)

But it's easy to "flip-the-script" on the hate whitey folks, by simply saying that cross racial crime breeds racial hostility and deserves special punishment. Codify it and apply the enhancements to all cross racial crimes. This actually would be beneficial in reducing racial strife and would help whites be safer--while actually clarifying "reality" and making hay politically. What are the Democrats going to do--be explicit and admit they think it's ok for blacks to hate whites and prey on them? Fine. Say it!

God, i wish we had some "conservative" politicians who were willing to fight.

I’d support such a move but given the virulent racism of many of America’s ghetto dwellers, it would be likely to increase the black percentage of prison inmates even further.

Are ALL regulations arbitrary or do some have good reasons behind them? Where do you draw the line? I don't know what the situation was in that particular place - whether barbecues constituted a fire hazard or just disturbed the beauty of the place, but in a civilized country you can't just set up a barbeque anywhere you like. Especially when you are dealing with a "vibrant" population, it's not just the grill itself but the attendant litter and musical entertainment and so on. The barbecuers will have a grand old time but the place will be ruined for everyone else. TBH, a lot of these regulations have an implicitly "racist" agenda behind them because the locals know that attracting vibrants will ruin a place, not because they are vibrant per se but because of the way that the vibrants will behave.

Maybe if we were dealing with an all Swiss population, we could rely on people using good sense to understand where it is and is not appropriate to set up a barbecue and how to behave while barbequing and wouldn't need all those stupid signs, but we have a "diverse" population and so have to rely on the rule of law. I also think that the "I'm not being paid to enforce the regulations, I'll look the other way" attitude is corrosive to society. If EVERYONE who walked by a violation of the law (especially their fellow vibrants)said something, maybe (though I doubt it given who is involved) the offenders would be shamed into behaving properly, but instead it is just a few "Beckies" who come out looking bad.

  • @FB
I've already discussed the thermodynamics and heat transfer of this at length on this site...

The answer is that no, the steel members could not have been sufficiently weakened by an open flame of jet fuel [kerosense] burning in the buildings...

Couple of important reasons...one is the nature of a diffuse flame...which is an open flame where the fuel and air not mixed in their ideal or stoichiometric ratio...we see this type of diffuse flame when you take an acetylene torch and light it without opening the oxygen valve...only the outside part of the acetylene fuel that is exposed to air will burn, and the flame temperature will be quite low...

It is the same with a pool of gasoline or kerosene on the ground that is burning...only the top layer of fuel molecules actually exposed to air will burn...while the rest of the pool remains liquid underneath...the presence of a diffuse flame in the building is evidenced by the black soot, which is a signature of a diffuse flame...[we see the same black soot on the acetylene flame]

With kerosene burning in an open flame [diffuse flame] the flame temperature could optimistically reach 1,000 C...whereas a precisely mixed ratio of fuel and air [for example in the combustor of a jet engine] will reach 2,500 C...

Then there is the matter of heat transfer from the flame to the steel members...heat transfer is a specialized discipline within the broader science of thermodynamics...and is a hugely important science in its own right, since many important technologies make use of heat exchangers...including nuclear power...automotive [radiator and oil cooler]...refrigeration...steam power generation...chemical process industry...medical etc...

Heat transfer from an open flame is going to be very ineffective...heat transfer effectiveness does not happen by chance, just as stoichiometric air-fuel mixture does not happen by chance...it happens by careful, scientific design...for instance, in an oxy-acetylene torch with the right ratio the flame temperature will be about 3,500 C...but if you hold that torch even a foot away there will be little heat transfer...in fact you could hold your hand a foot away because the heat transfer will be so low...and that is with the very high flame temperature to begin with...with the diffuse acetylene flame [no oxygen] you could hold your hand an inch away and feel no heat...

There is also the sheer mass of the steel columns as well as the concrete...it takes a certain QUANTITY of heat [even at high rates of heat transfer] to raise the temperature of a given mass...this depends also on the thermal properties of the material in question...such as the heat capacity [ie how much heat energy it takes to raise a kg of the material by a single degree...also called the specific heat]...for concrete this is very high so it would take a huge QUANTITY of heat to raise significantly the temperature of such a large mass...

The heat capacity of steel is also high..and there is a lot of mass there too...

I'm not going to get into the finer points of heat transfer science here, but I have discussed this with colleagues who are thermal science professionals...one is a retired physicist from Livermore National Lab, having worked on the design of nuclear weapons...the consensus is that that it would be impossible for a diffuse flame of 1,000 C to get such a huge mass of steel to even a temperature of 600 C or so where its strength is merely half of room temperature [and still within the margin of safety of building load engineering]...from the total energy contained in the fuel that was present...

We also note that much of the fuel burned up initially in those two huge fireballs which are visible in the pictures OUTSIDE the building..one fireball for each wing fuel tank...so the amount of fuel available for burning inside the building would have been a fraction of the fuel carried...the combustion of fuel in those fireballs is entirely what we would expect to see, since the high speed impact would have created a fuel vapor cloud that would combust much like inside a combustion chamber.ie much closer to stoichiometric...hence its very rapid combustion...

We must remember also that all of the dozens of steel columns would have needed to collapse at the same time...and so the rate of heat transfer to all the columns would have to have been the same...this is not possible since some were farther and some were closer...

To my knowledge no one has looked at the thermal science of this in a professional way...unlike many other aspects of the building structure etc...

The thermodynamics and heat transfer is in fact an analysis that could be applied quite readily to this question...I have obtained some data on the dimensions of the steel columns and hence an estimate of the mass involved...as well as a rougher estimate of the much larger mass of concrete...we are talking thousands of tons...getting such a huge mass to a high temperature from a diffuse flame and a low rate of heat transfer [mostly by radiation from the flame itself, the most inefficient mechanism of heat transfer]...would be highly unlikely...

Yes I had very similar thoughts. However, the hate-tobacco is a global phenomenon and thus has a soft connection to the Southern US tobacco growers. For me, tobacco was more like test of mind control over the population, once the levers of influence tools were in the right hands, the so called banning brigade.

As a never-smoker and a libertarian my first thought about tobacco has always been - put your head within a meter of a vehicle exhaust pipe in any city and check out what happens to your life expectanxy. At least the smokers breath a natural product and through a filter.

One elementary societal rule is: ban things that are less important to avoid banning things which are more important but earn the rullers a tidy profit. Banning of fat when sugar was a much bigger health risk is a wonderful other example, with huge health impact over several generations.

Very correct! Russians couldn't be subdued by Jews, whom they considered as "useful but tricky". Jews tried to take over ideology in 1920s, but they lost this niche pretty soon, when Stalin famously answered one of their vehement attacks on a Russian writer with "I haven't got other writers".

That was one of the impressions I got from Unz’s writings – that Jews predominated in early Bolshevism, and their viciousness had a component of tribal hatred. Perhaps that also explains why the modern intelligentsia gives Lenin (part Jewish) and Trotsky (Jewish) a pass for their early bloodbaths. Of course, the Bolsheviks also had lots of Poles, Baltics, and other ethnic minorities who hated the Russian people, too.
I have heard my fellow libertarians say that leftists hate Stalin not because he massacred the peasantry but because his purges killed his fellow Communists. Might they also hate him because he ended Jewish dominance of the Communist party?

He ended what perhaps could become Jewish dominance, but never became. Lenin was not a Jew no way (his one Jewish ancestor had been received into Church), not more than he was a German, a Swede, a Kalmyk, and ethnic Russian. Trotsky was so non-Jewish, he didn't even understand Yiddisch. Stalin used to say that parting with Mensheviks had an effect of a pogrom, as the party had got rid of Jews.
Stalin rolled back Jewish positions in the Party and in the state down to normal, still much more than by their share in population, but not like in the US. Stalin was ok with good loyal Jews. Kaganovich remained loyal to Stalin till the end of his days.

The first generation of Jews who "survived the holocaust," (how one survives a total burnt sacrifice = one of physics' great mysteries) tended to remain low-key. They did not volunteer that much about having been sent to gas chambers or ovens.

As someone mentioned on an earlier article, The Holocaust © took off only in the mid-1960s, AFTER the trial and execution of Eichmann; AFTER Israel had secured nuclear weapons; AFTER Israel had flexed its muscle in the 1967 war; (AFTER JFK was dead and LBJ reliably in his place). In other words, a second generation of Jews were more deeply indoctrinated with a necessarily bogus narrative than were the people who actually lived the experience. Gllad Atzmon explains this concept of PRE-traumatic stress disorder in The Wandering Who

The THIRD generation of Jewish zionists know nothing but the bogus narrative they've been fed all their lives. They have suffered least, have been pampered and prospered most, are convinced by the 'success' of Israel's zionist project that they are, indeed, gawd's chosen and entitled. This group is the most dangerous because they have no grounding in reality and have the most to lose in failing to Keep the Lie Alive.

'... Meanwhile, blacks were almost entirely barred from combat service, though they sometimes served in strictly-segregated support roles...'

Not really. Two all-black divisions were formed and entered combat.

One served in the Pacific, where it performed some mopping up functions. It managed to finish the war without any major disgrace, although its troops performed questionably in the one serious skirmish it engaged in.

The other went to Italy, where it performed spectacularly badly, actually managing to be routed by an understrength Italian Fascist division in the winter of 1944-45, the Italian divison being itself of no great quality. I use the word 'routed' advisedly. The black soldiers literally ran, ran en masse, and ran a long way. I haven't researched it, but I suspect this action may mark the most significant offensive success enjoyed by an Italian unit in World War Two.

Ironically, thereafter the black division was brigaded with the legendary all-Japanese 442nd Regimental Combat Team. Since the 442nd RCT most certainly would fight, the 'black' division could be formally kept in the line -- just make sure the Japanese are holding the actual front.

My late uncle served in WWII and participated in the invasion of Italy under Patton. He was a great guy, though he had a racist streak that I found surprising since he hailed from a very white Midwestern state. Where would he have encountered blacks to form such a negative opinion? Later I heard from a family member that this very negative encounter was in Italy in WWII.

  • The nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is honestly one of the single most effectively altruistic actions in all of human history. Special objections to atomic bombing as American war crimes are quite silly.

Operation Meetinghouse, the fire bombing of Tokyo, killed 80,000 people in one night. But I suppose dying instantly from an atomic blast is much worse than being burned alive.

Estimates vary wildly, but it seems that around 350,000 Japanese were killed by American air raids.

I don't have any figures off the top of my head, but there's also the fact that by the middle of 1944 Japan no longer had sufficient food supplies. Starvation began sitting in.

If you want to see how truly horrible the end of the war was for the Japanese civilian population, I recommend the 1988 anime film Grave of the Fireflies.

On 21 September 1945, shortly after the end of World War II, a teenage boy, Seita, dies of starvation in a Kobe train station. A janitor sorts through his possessions and finds a candy tin, which he throws into a field. The spirit of Seita's younger sister, Setsuko, springs from the tin and is joined by Seita's spirit and a cloud of fireflies. They board a train.

Some months earlier, Seita and Setsuko's house is destroyed in a firebombing along with most of Kobe. They are unharmed, but their mother dies from burns. Seita and Setsuko move in with a distant aunt, who convinces Seita to sell his mother's kimonos for rice. Seita retrieves supplies he buried before the bombing and gives everything to his aunt but a tin of Sakuma drops. As rations shrink and the number of refugees in the house grows, the aunt becomes resentful of the children, saying they do nothing to earn the food she prepares.

Seita and Setsuko leave and move into an abandoned bomb shelter. They release fireflies into the shelter for light. The next day, Setsuko is horrified to find that the insects have died. She buries them in a grave, asking why they and her mother had to die. As they run out of rice, Seita steals from farmers and loots homes during air raids, for which he is beaten. When Setsuko falls ill, Seita takes her to a doctor, who explains that she is suffering from malnutrition.

In a panic, Seita withdraws all the money in their mother's bank account. As he leaves the bank, he becomes distraught when he learns that Japan has surrendered. He also learns that his father, a captain in the Imperial Japanese Navy, is probably dead, as most of Japan's navy has been sunk.

Seita returns to the shelter with a large quantity of food, but finds Setsuko hallucinating. He hurries to feed her, but she dies as he finishes preparing the food. Seita cremates Setsuko's body and her stuffed doll in a straw casket. He carries her ashes in the candy tin along with his father's photograph.

Seita and Setsuko's deceased spirits arrive at their destination, healthy and happy, and sit on a bench surrounded by fireflies overlooking present-day Kobe.

Then of course there were Allied war crimes in Europe. Germany suffered at least half a million civilian deaths from the Allied bombing campaign. A large number of Germans also died after the war had ended owing to partial implementation of the Morgenthau Plan and the Disarmed Enemy Forces camps. Nobody even has any idea how many people died.

The atomic bombings were just part and parcel of a pattern of massive war crimes committed by the Allies. These war crimes formed the basis of their air war plans and were developed even before the war. And since Allied strategic bombing proved effective, from a purely military point of view the war crimes were justifiable.

Where America can and should be faulted is its ridiculous insistence on unconditional surrender from the Axis powers. If it's true that Japan was willing to surrender and its only condition was the preservation of the Emperor, then American political leadership pointlessly prolonged the war.

You said it better than I could have. The US could have dropped its demand for unconditional surrender, and failing that could have nuked a more purely military target.
That said, my 8th-grade history teacher, a fairly zealous American patriot, used to say that the Nagasaki bomb was unnecessary and was due to a poor translation of the Japanese response to Hiroshima.

I'm not sure there were any purely military targets left in Japan at the time where nuclear weapons of the era were appropriate. Had the bomb been available before the Battle of the Philippine Sea then a sensible military target would've been Kure Naval Base (incidentally--located in Hiroshima).

Thus it would've been the "demonstration blast" proposed by various weaklings, cowards, and atomophobes.

White nationalism may turn off some, so that's why I state I am for the West. Then we define what the West is not and repatriate and segregate people accordingly. Gottfried knows he is an outsider. He needs to move to Israel. One of his daughters lives there. (((Stephan Molyneux)) - yes, he's Jewish - is a sophist. I listen to his podcasts and he will state that the smartest people are the Ashkenazi Jews, Asians and some Nigerians - non-Western people. The West did fine without these types. This is bad, why exactly? Again, Mr. Buchanan wants us to roll back the empire - honest men like Dr. Ron Paul have asked for the same.

that is different from saying that Iran should have them, which certainly makes the situation worse

Muslims only see hypocrisy in this when people do not call for full nuclear disarmament of others. Why do others get to be the exception? Because they don't attack people unprovoked? You've heard of Iraq and Libya, right?

it still is that the reason for this reluctance is continued allegiance to outside and rival powers and rival nationality

That's your take on it, which is fine. I don't like the idea of dual national loyalty. If you come to the US, you should leave your other flag behind.

Islam is probably better understood not as a religion or a philosophy but more as a nationalism akin to Americanism.

This is an ahistoric understanding of religion in general. All religions formed the basis for national identity and the legal framework and even the legitimacy of the ruler (Defender of Christendom in the Realm) until relatively recently. There were entire Buddhist kingdoms and empires. Islam simply refuses to give up the role for organizing society as other religions have; you changed in this regard, we did not.

An amusing attempt to divert attention from Putin. Mr Giraldi claims that when Trump tried to whitewash Putin by claiming that “others” also interfered in the US election, “he was almost certainly referring to China”. He doesn’t say why. I assumed that Trump was referring to Israel, which seems to interfere in every aspect of American life (as Mr Giraldi points out in the article!). He then claims that “there are reports [sic] that China hacked the 30,000 Hillary Clinton emails that are apparently still missing”. The “reports” consist of a single report from an anonymous [sic!] website which next to nobody will ever have heard of claiming to be aware of testimony given at a “closed-door” (their term) congressional hearing to the effect that “China hacked the 30,000 Hillary Clinton emails that are apparently still missing”. If they’re still missing, they haven’t been published and if they haven’t been published that means that whoever hacked them did not interfere in the election! In addition, the “party line” is that the e-mails were leaked, not hacked! Putin’s supporters are in such a state of panic that they’re starting to contradict themselves! Mr Giraldi then asks “how one interferes in an election in a large country with diverse sources of information and numerous polling stations located in different states using different systems”. Simple and obvious answer: using local collaborators! The same tactic American groups (maybe even including the CIA) are using to try to undermine the EU! Of course, if the Russians couldn’t interfere in the US election, neither could China! He then argues that the “United States has interfered in elections everywhere, including in Russia under Boris Yeltsin”, but if it’s that easy for the US to interfere in a huge country like the Russian Federation, then why couldn’t the Russians interfere in the US? Panic stations!

Ha ha ha ha ha. Not buying it. If I thought Putin interfered to help Trump win, I’d send him a thank you card.

...Yeah...Dey like dat big avatar up their ass...don't dey?

Stryker was of Armenian descent, if I remember correctly. At any rate, the days when some short guy with a comically big dong who looked like an Elvis impersonator in a Vegas lounge could have such an enormous impact on pop culture are gone.

He himself has said he saved a few people from dying of AIDS by watching his videos instead, and I personally believe him.

But you see my point, porn power ain't what it used to be.

There was time when porn was taken so seriously pre-internet that some short Armenian guy from Illinois who looked like the Elvis impersonator in the lowest lounge bar in Vegas could make $300,000 a year and be taken seriously by the mainstream.

Now his dialogue is kind of funny...But that was a confluence of the power of the MSM (Even porn) back then and capitalism.

My point is that the MSM is going the way of the porn industry. It just does not have the broad reach over the mass that it once did.

Clinton would never have laughed at the MSM like Trump.

These days, many tens of millions of zealous Christians and especially Christian Zionists are enthusiastic advocates for Jews, Judaism, and Israel, and I strongly suspect that at least some of that enthusiasm is based upon ignorance.

I strongly suspect that all of it is based upon ignorance.

If the Gentile population became aware of these Jewish religious beliefs and the behaviors they promote, major problems for Jews might develop, so an elaborate methodology of subterfuge, concealment, and dissimulation has come into being over the many centuries to minimize this possibility, especially including the mistranslation of sacred texts or the complete exclusion of crucial sections. Meanwhile, the traditional penalty for any Jew who “informs” to the authorities on any matter regarding the Jewish community has always been death, often preceded by hideous torture.

I’m as goyisch as they come, and I’ve always had a grudging respect for the Jews as survivors and capitalists while realizing that much of what Organized Jewry does is completely unethical. Seems they’re much more of a warrior people than we’ve suspected — like the Vikings or the Lakota or the Japanese, only secretly so. Indeed, seeing how the previous three groups are now emasculated shadows of their former selves, the Jewish approach has been the most successful. I must read Shahak’s book!

Isn't anyone in Europe afraid of Trump and Putin cutting deals about Europe?

Trump changes his opinions daily, be it US-Allies, Europe, Kim Jong-un, Putin etc. etc. One day he threatens, the next day he is a friend. On a whim. Does anyone know for sure, what his motives are?

Finns have a good reason to be extremely suspicious about the Trump-Putin summit. Yalta 2.0. Stalin and Roosevelt. Secret agreements, carving up Europe like it was a cake. Did neither one of them care about the democracy and freedom of Europeans? Nope.

It was disgusting to see, how the West chose to ignore the horrors in those nations, which were given to Stalin.

Is it any wonder, that we hear on a daily basis warnings from experts, that Trump might give concessions to Putin, a Yalta 2.0, where Trump and Putin divide the world into their spheres of interest?

Finns have zero to none trust in both of them. "One has an orange tan and the other one wears high heels. Both have big egos. Putin knows the game, being a former KGB-agent, and Trump has no experience, no knowledge, he is arrogant and acts like a five-year old child. The bets are, that Putin will beat Trump 100-0. Trump will have no problems to betray his US-Allies, just to please Putin. Russia and Russians & America and Americans first. S*crew the rest."

Trump repeated about restoring Russia's former borders during his election campaign. Putin has talked for years how Europe has to be divided into US- Russian spheres of interests. There is no doubt, that Finland will be handed over to Putin, as long as Trump gets his own areas.

A few weeks ago, before knowing about this summit, I had a dream, where Putin and Trump were in a room. There was a map on the table and both Sweden and Finland were "Putin's".

A voice said, that this is the reason why we never were even allowed in Nato, because all Nato-countries will be occupied by US-forces, who are already stationed there. And both occupiers will bring unspeakable terror.

How will Europeans feel, if they are suddenly occupied by US- or Russian forces?

How will American soldiers feel about occupying and killing innocent Europeans?

How will Russian soldiers feel about occupying and killing innocent Finns?

Several old prophecies have told, that WW3 breaks out suddenly at the end of July. Many have said the year to be 2018. All have said Russians to be the attackers.

    History repeats itself when denied.

Horror of horrors. Putin right stop the Somali invasion of Sweden and bar transgonders from their army.

Do you seriously believe, that if Putin occupies Sweden then Sweden's problem with immigrants is solved and Sweden's army is built up with Swedish men???

USSR policy was all about killing/deporting natives and replacing them with primitive Russian peasants, thus destroying cultures and roots.

An authentic document was posted with amounts of hundred thousands Finns, who were to be deported to different locations after Stalin had occupied Finland. Polish prisoners were killed in masses - to make room for Finnish prisoners. Finland was to be filled with Belarussians after that.

Vyborg was Finland's pride, the massive Alvar Aalto library, the hectic trading, signs written in Finnish, German, Swedish and Russian. When European aristocrats went partying, the entourages went to Vyborg, not to Paris. Vyborg was The Place.

After Stalin was given Vyborg in the Peace Treaty, Finns were massmurdered and Soviet troops welcomed the new habitants at the train station. Cosacks and peasants, who had never seen anything like Vyborg before, who did not even know what a water toilet was, let alone use it (Estonians can probably tell similar stories...).

Soviet soldiers told them, that Vyborg is now their city and that they can live in any apartment they want to.

They were stupified when seeing the huge library filled with books, they could not understand why it was even built and they had plans to transform it to a huge sauna.

Soviet soldiers made bonfires inside the library, burning books, to dry their feltboots.

    Vyborg crashed culturally.

What the West does today, is an exact replica of what USSR did. Russia hasn't changed, otherwise they would pay compensations to all their satellite states and apologize for their criminal deeds.

Since they haven't, they have the same spirit they had during USSR. Stalin is brought back to life in Russia, so the infamous "peacemaker" is back in the game.

USSR repalced the natives when it invaded the nations.

Pre-2003 you didn't even hear of any hordes of migrants. But after the US-invasion to Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya etc. etc. the massmigration started. It was not because of the stupidity of Western leaders, it was pre-planned by the global elite. And Putin is part of that elite. Remember how he suddenly rose to power in 1999? Suddenly he was a Prime Minister, two months later he was Russia's president.

Nostradamus prophecies mentions the year only a few time:

    The year 1999, seventh month,
from the sky will come a great King of Terror:
to bring back to life the great King of the Mongols,
before and after Mars to reign by good luck.

Stalinism has already become a cult in Russia. Putin praises Stalin. He is definitely "brought back to life", Stalin the great King of Terror and the King of the Mongols.

But aren’t you supposed to have a Jewish mother to be considered truly Jewish?

As was noted, almost anyone, regardless of ancestry*, can become a full-fledged Jew by means of conversion. To be authentic, the conversion must be sincere and not sought for ulterior motives (such as in order to marry a Jew). This requires the convert to fully accept upon himself and commit to upholding all of the numerous and often arduous demands that the religion places upon all members.

*There are a very few exceptions; peoples named in the Bible as those from whom descendants cannot be accepted as converts. It is my understanding that the total number of people affected by such bans is minuscule.

One who is born to a Jewess is bound for life by all commandments, restrictions and other obligations of Judaism (Sabbath; dietary restrictions; daily prayer; sexual strictures; and much more). And held accountable well beyond this earthly existence. An apostate, atheist, heretic or sinner motivated by /spite/ (as opposed to mere lust/weakness) loses all religious privileges and is considered far worse than, say, non-Jew who may live sinful lifestyle on account of lust/weakness (as opposed to spite) but believes in G-d via Christianity or Islam.

The lesson of same sex marriage was not that the counter arguments were too weak or unvoiced, it was that the arguments didn’t matter.

Another lesson is akin to the old maxim that it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. SSM lost in about every referendum held. People didn't like the sound of it. However, once it was enacted by the courts support for SSM actually went up, and if you had a referendum today, it would probably pass.

Why? I suppose most of the voters are not really cultural warrior, Pat Buchanan types who look at the long term effects of such policies. Rather most voters are interested in making a living and raising a family. And since the sun came up the day after the courts forced SSM, it no longer seemed to be a problem and thus the opposition to it dropped.

So the lesson the left learned is to get their policy enacted first, then the unwashed masses will tolerate it so long as it does not directly affect their daily lives. Of course this is what they do in authoritarian regimes, not so much what they are so supposed to do in systems like ours.

I wonder if there’s a scholarly study related to this phenomenon, which has happened many times in history. For example, Americans were anti-conscription through much of the country’s history but when WWII brought back the draft it became almost treasonous to suggest ending it, even though the ability to change laws is part of the democratic process. However, when we went to the all-volunteer military as the result of a top-down decision there was no great agitation to resume conscription. Don’t you dare advocate ending mandatory registration, however, you’d be emboldening America’s enemies — at least not until some high muckety-muck makes that decision for us.

Yes I did miss your point that the Lobby is 'legal, sorry.

However it is legal only by the grace of jewish influence in congress which has killed the half dozen attempts to make it register under FARA.

AIPAC is given an exception by the politicians because its members happen to have US citizenship.

BUT the reality is it lobbies strictly for Israel's interest.

Both the CIA and the FBI have come close to nailing AIPAC numerous times for stealing classified documents and passing them to Israel....but have been called off by politicians.

So despite its congressionally sanctioned legality it is a foreign lobby advocating for foreign interest.

I think it is reasonable to assume that a lobby that advocates only for the interests of a foreign country IS controlled by that foreign country unless the lobbyists prove otherwise. Just as its reasonable that the guy with the smoking gun in his hand next to a corpse is a prime suspect in the murder.
