Being a fellow libertarian, I’ve heard of several other incidents of this type. A successful Canadian-American woman deported for a marijuana offense committed 20 years prior as a teenager. A well-loved Ivoirean high school teacher deported for missing an immigration hearing. A Dutch photographer denied entry because his password was stamped in Yemen. He had been photographing sea turtles on Sokotra and didn’t spend any time at all on the mainland.
