Kanye West delivered a pro-Trump rant after performing “Ghost Town” with Kid Cudi and 070 Shake during the 44th season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
The rapper, who’d announced plans to release his forthcoming album Ye at midnight on Sept. 29th, sported a red MAGA hat while voicing his support for Trump in a strange lecture that was cut for time. Comedian Chris Rock, who was in the audience at Studio 8H in New York City, captured the moment on his Instagram.

With the entire cast of SNL behind him, West began the talk by singing, “I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you’re feelin’ inside right now….”
He continued, “The blacks want always Democrats … You know it’s like the plan they did, to take the fathers out the home and put them on welfare … Does anybody know about that? That’s a Democratic plan,” he continued. “There’s so many times I talk to, like, a white person about this and they say, ‘How could you like Trump? He’s racist.’ Well, uh, if I was concerned about racism, I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.”
Throughout the videos, Rock can be heard laughing and whispering “oh my God” while the audience boos West.
West was was a last-minute replacement for Ariana Grande, who dropped out as musical guest on SNL. The rapper performed “I Love It” alongside Lil Pump and revealed a new collaboration with Teyana Taylor, “We Got Love.”
