May 2016

Dear Friends,

After Joseph had survived all the pain of betrayal, and unjustly being thrown in prison, falsely accused and forgotten, the Lord not only rescued Joseph but used him to save the lives of many! Joseph then stated that great truth in Genesis 50:20….

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that

many people should be kept alive as they are today!”

Two years after being cuffed, arrested, and publicly slandered Karen and I believe neither the willful, malicious acts nor unintended mistakes of people can thwart God’s purpose for us!

We are rejoicing in the incredible number of lives God has saved, encouraged, and were inspired as a result of our difficult experience. Plus God has made us fruitful in the land of our pain and affliction. (Genesis 41:51)

With great courage Karen felt the direct leading of the Holy Spirit to journey back to the Philippines to encourage and minister to our kids, staff, ministry partners, and many friends who ran to us during my time in jail. We hadn’t seen any of them for two years so this reunion was particularly sweet. Two amazing ladies from our church, Bena Paisley and Lynn Mosher, joined Karen and the three of them combined their gifts to minister and bless and encourage many people who suffered as a result of the evil actions of a few.

Karen’s visit in February revealed the wonderful spiritual growth of all our kids as they have grown in faith since the trauma they experienced. They gave testimonies wherever invited of how God is using what was meant for evil for good in their lives and to touch many others!

Since my release God has given me an incredible platform to share this story and His message of salvation. I have met inquiring people in golf carts, airplanes, golf events, basketball games, prisons, universities, youth camps, and men’s retreats all over the country come to know Christ because of what was meant for evil being used by God to save lives. We have also seen the building of two new schools and three multi-functional ministry centers in poverty stricken areas in the Philippines these past two years.

What I want to express is that no detail of life or our circumstances is too insignificant for our heavenly Father’s attention. No circumstance is so big or painful that He cannot control it.

Thank you for praying for us, supporting us, contacting us and even visiting us during our period of spiritual refining. We thank God for helping us forgive and forget what was meant for evil and rejoice in the many lives won to Christ by God’s sovereign hand over the whole crisis.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,

for those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

Paul did not say EACH thing was good. He said ALL things (good and bad) work together for good for those who are called according to HIS PURPOSE. We have witnessed this promise by seeing God take the evil intentions which caused painful events, then apply His precious Grace and turn it into good by saving lives and encouraging many.

This summer I will travel to Ireland to share the Gospel at a golf event called The Payne Stewart Memorial at Royal County Down near Belfast. I will also take a basketball team to Rome, Italy to use friendly games to share Christ as His ambassadors. Our World Harvest missionaries, Coach and Andrea Helm, will be going to Belarus and Poland to use Coach’s respected platform as an NBA coach to share Christ. Coach and Andrea helped win me to Christ 41 years ago and have mentored me all these years. Ironically, they are now my missionaries with World Harvest Ministries!

Genesis 50:20 and Romans 8:28 are being lived out in all our lives today as believers in the Messiah Jesus.

Praising God with Joy,

Tom and Karen Randall
