copenhagen is definitely one of my favorite cities on the planet. and should i have the opportunity to live there — maybe i could choose to live in this spot! the very gorgeous home of Frederik Nellemann, it’s full of an eclectic mix of classical furniture like pieces from designers Mies van der Rohe, Verner Panton and Arne Jacobsen and an enviable collection of abstract art. it’s also got a great Bauhaus bent and a gothic vibe that i love. have a look around and take in all this unique inspiration.

the new wave of floristry.

While I’ll always appreciate a simple bouquet of English roses or wildflowers, I can’t help but be excited about the new wave of modern floristry, and today, I’m sharing three florists I’ve been loving lately: marigold, atelier prairies and selva. They’re artistic, whimsical, exotic, and a lil’ bit Suessian. A few of these photos push the envelope on what’s traditionally “pretty”, but I enjoy looking at them as much as I would the otherworldly, beautifully eccentric wildlife you’d find in the furthest depths of the sea.

When I got married several years ago, I played it safe and had lovely but tidy, mostly symmetrical bouquets. But looking through these photos today, I had fun imagining how different my centerpieces would look had I been planning a wedding today. I think I would have taken more risks in the floral department! How about you?

cheers, ezz.

Photographer and content creator/consultant Sarah Babineau’s airy and pastel-colored view of Montreal is giving me the Quebec travel bug right now. Sarah showcases some of the most beautiful cafes and hangouts in her hometown, as well as other Instagram-worthy places throughout her travels. Scrolling through her feed also makes me want to infuse a little more pink, curved shapes, terrazzo and earth-toned marble into my life. And judging by the photos I’ve picked, they definitely speak to my tropical roots and the ’80s kid in me!
