Vevo is excited to announce Billie Eilish (Darkroom/Interscope Records) as their newest LIFT artist of 2018. Vevo's LIFT initiative connects today's rising stars to audiences around the globe with original creative content. Vevo will release installments each week of performances and behind-the-scenes footage, bringing fans closer to the pop artist than ever before. Released today, Eilish's performance of "you should see me in a crown" follows the release of her collaboration with fellow Vevo LIFT artist Khalid and is available for streaming now at youtube.com/BillieEilishVEVO.
Produced by her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas O'Connell, "you should see me in a crown" sees the 16-year-old pop-phenom exploring an impossibly edgier, hip-hop tinged sound, crooning over sharp synths and unrelenting hi-hats, and now with Vevo, the song visually re-imagined for her fans.
After spending much of this year making several high-profile festival appearances, Billie's debut EP has amassed more than 750 million combined streams worldwide and singles "ocean eyes" and "lovely (with Khalid)" have both been certified RIAA GOLD in North America. Eilish was initially part of Vevo's Artist to Watch program in 2017, showcasing special interviews and performances of her breakout material, and since then Vevo has been supporting her journey.
