Remembrance for Peace 2018
11 November 2018 marks 100 years since the Armistice that ended fighting in World War One. The Fellowship of Reconciliation is marking this occasion in many ways. We have produced resources for peace-focused Remembrance services and will be participating in many events around Remembrance Sunday.
Join us in commemorating this anniversary and working to make sure that the message of Never Again is heard, so that we can build peace in our fractious world today and so that future generations are spared the horrors of war.
We are now accepting applications for the 2019 round of our small grant-giving programme. The International Peacemakers’ Fund gives support of up to £5,000 to carefully selected nonviolent grassroots peacemaking groups around the world. Guidelines and application form here.
Most of the money for grants comes from members and supporters, so please consider supporting this work. Find out more and make a donation.
FoR promotes active nonviolence and love as the means to transform unjust political, economic and social structures. We are an ecumenical Christian organisation campaigning against war and its preparation. In our 103 years, we’ve racked up 6 Nobel Peace Prize winners, and are partners of the 2017 Laureate: the International Campaign to Ban Nuclear Weapons!
