The front of the center boarders the Little Pigeon River and Riverwalk, which offers pedestrian access from the Old Mill Historic District to the entertainment, shopping, and restaurant venues of The Island.

Free access to Pigeon Forge Housing Bureau for lodging options / reservations

As a joint venture between the City of Pigeon Forge and the Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association, the Housing Bureau makes Pigeon Forge lodging easy for event owners and attendees alike.

This is your secure and quiet location to work in, use for light storage, or simply relax in. This room offers a board room table, sofa, chairs, direct TV, and a fireplace all positioned near your registration area with a separate entrance / exit to the service hall.

Hotel, Lodging & Housing Bureau

The Pigeon Forge Housing Bureau is a joint venture between the City of Pigeon Forge and the Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association, which represents over 200 hospitality based businesses and over 13,000 lodging units. The bureau is designed to make the lodging process easy for the event owner and their attendees.

The bureau will solicit request for proposals from every Pigeon Forge lodging establishment based on the requirements provided by the event owner and then deliver all completed RFPs for the consideration and approval of the owner. The bureau will then provide a branded link to be prominently placed within the event web site allowing attendees to reserve Pigeon Forge lodging directly from the event web site. This is a free service and is optional to use in helping events hosted at the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge become more successful.

Meet the Team

Jennifer Smith

Sales Manager

Jennifer Smith, a veteran tourism sales and marketing executive, joined the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge Team in October of 2013. As sales manager, Jennifer’s responsibilities include inviting qualified event owners to host well attended events at the LeConte Event Center with the sole purpose of providing positive economic impact for the City of Pigeon Forge. Jennifer is a Pigeon Forge native with ancestors who lived in Great Smoky Mountains National Park prior to its inception. Residing in Sevier County, Smith and her husband of 29 years have three children. Prior to joining the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge Team, Jennifer served as sales manager for Dollywood.

Tera Cooper

Senior Event Manager

Tera Cooper joined the LeConte Event Center’s team prior to the Grand Opening of the center. Being a native of Sevier County and working in the Pigeon Forge tourism industry for 35 years, her background includes customer service, management, and planning in the retail, hotel, and conference market. Sevier County continues to be home for Tera, her husband, and two children. Tera leads the planning and organizational side of each event, working directly with each client during the process of planning, and executing the details of each event up through the final walk through. Tera’s experience provides her with a wealth of information to share with our clients, which ultimately translates into a smooth, calm, and efficient planning process.

Phil Campbell

General Manager

Phil Campbell joined the LeConte Event Center team prior to its opening with a proven track record of providing more than 35 years of hospitality in Pigeon Forge. Phil’s background includes selling and servicing the tour and travel segment, meetings and conference market, and hotel management. Phil is charged with leading the team to fulfill the facility’s mission of providing economic impact by delivering services tailored to meet the needs of your event and working to successfully bring your attendees to Pigeon Forge. Sevier County has always been home for Phil where he resides with his wife and two daughters. Phil truly has a passion to share this region and the LeConte Event Center with our visitors who come to Pigeon Forge.

Bobby Shultz

Facility Operations Manager

Bobby joined the LeConte Event Center team prior to its opening in May 2013, being the first staff member hired at the Center during the final stages of construction. Bobby is in charge of all daily facility operations and insures that each event has all essential needs and services met with pride and efficiency. Bobby’s 40 year background in all areas of the building trades, including electronics, electrical, industrial, and management in a previous event facility have helped him insure a proven record of excellence in the operations and hospitality area. Bobby is a native of Sevier County where he resides with his wife of more than 40 years and has two children along with two grandchildren.

Tom Garner

Facility Service Manager

Tom Garner joined the LeConte Event Center team November of 2013 with a track record of more than 26 years of maintenance. Tom’s background includes residential, commercial, and working with church groups. Tom is charged with maintaining the building and working with event owners to provide for their needs during their event. Blount County has been home for Tom and his wife and two children for 25 years. Tom works tirelessly to make the LeConte Event Center the best it can be for all of its visitors who come to Pigeon Forge.

Mike Weddington

Maintenance Supervisor

Mike Weddington joined the LeConte Center team in April 2015. Mike is the former Supervisor for the City of Pigeon Forge Building Maintenance Department. He comes to us with many years of experience in Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, and is a certified HVAC technician. Mike enjoys the combination of keeping the facility running efficiently and meeting guests attending the wide variety of events inside the LeConte Center. In his spare time he loves being with his three grandchildren and helping others with projects. Mike has been working in the Pigeon Forge area for almost 20 years.
