Diablo is very fun solo but it's probably the most fun with at least 1 other friend to trade gear with and go greater rift pushing together. Some of the most fun I've had with diablo 3 has been me and a friend just sitting down after work and saying "alright let's see if we can break GR100 tonight" and then just going hard for a few hours.
Do I get all the Zelda stuff if I purchase this digitally right now? Or was it only for preorders when digital?
While leveling towards 70 (max level cap), you need to be replacing your gear to match your level. You'll probably get that ring to drop again at a higher item level. I usually replace my gear so it's within 5 levels of my current level.
I already have Diablo 3 on my PS4 but never played it. Is there anything different that warrants me buying it for Switch or is the PS4 version fine?
Yes that was my original question, whether they were pre-order bonuses or not, and everyone but one person replied with sarcasm and snobbery.
Apparently 1 monk and 3 necros is not visible if you wanna DPS as the monk lol. Everything was exploding before I could even get there. Also is exploding palm bugged? Finding it really hard to stick it on enemies for some reason.
Well you asked if there was preorder bonuses to which TheMoon told you there was not. That was the correct answer. And then you replied incorrectly that actually there was. So not sure how that's everyone else's fault. None of the Nintendo theme'd content in the game is 'preorder' related.
Nope doesn't scale. Its basically a pretty good level 10 ring you get on level1 once per character. (Non Season only). Not an item that drops at all.
It's pretty obvious that he was confused about the zelda stuff being preorder bonus. People could have just told him that the stuff is extra forever or something instead of being sarcastic and saying "no preorder bonuses :)"
What’s the consensus of the switch version vs the ps4? I think I read there’s less enemies and effects?
What specifically about "there is no preorder anything bonus stuff, especially nothing related to nintendo-licensed content." is sarcastic? I mean, seriously. That's a direct and honest answer, I sense no attitude or sarcasm. Ah well, finally got the Pro Controller and charging it up. I immediately felt this will be a much nicer option than the joycons have been.
Yeah if there is a difference, it's very hard to notice from having played the Xbox version which I assume is equal to the PS4 equivalent.
I hear you! But if it was me I still would have informed him that the zelda stuff is not preorder bonuses but extra stuff you get whenever you buy. And you will love the pro controller, it's super comfy!
Yeah it's crazy how nice and fluid the analog feels and it's very... smooth. lol Oh and I had Gamestop put a preowned one on hold which was $59 but thought I'd check the Walmart next door and sure enough, they're the same price for brand new. Not sure if that's a new thing but seems they're $70 most other place.
When. You finish a rift and go through your loot and see gear 300 levels higher than you're currently at because you leveled 5 times in the rift. Good feeling.
Up to 60 with a wizard. The UI is still a pain but the gameplay with a controller is fine. I don't like playing portably though. But that's the case with all switch games. The weight is too weird.
When you're at 99% in a rift and both a molten/frozen elite pack and an arcane laser elite pack bum rush you right as a poison puddle rift guardian spawns.
Arcane Waller has always been my least favorite combination. I've always grown to dislike the projectile bubble ones....Missile Barrier or something? That one is super annoying. Not deadly, just annoying. And even more dumb when the arcane molten Waller shows up with it.
Kinda sad I missed out on the awesome Blizzard artwork from the physical copy. (shameless reddit repost, I know)
Does the world/enemies scale with you? I'm on Act 2 (near-ish to the end I think) and I'm level 40 on master difficulty and I'm still absolutely tearing through everything. Having lots of fun mind you. Bone Golem followed by Corpse Explosion pushes out insane damage.
I feel like necro with minions is a easier play style for someone that doesn’t want to deal with specific attacks
Oh? Maybe they did, I just noticed many of the double/triple dippers mentioning that in a positive light
Frame rate is quite a bit worse on handheld mode if you plan on going for the higher Greater Rifts. I'm over hardcore GR36 at the moment (which is quite low considering PS4/PC) and the frame rate drops to 30fps and below quite a lot. If you plan on playing just for fun / on lower difficulties, it isn't that bad, but there are still drops. Mob density seems similar, same with effects (although I've seen a couple of them really low res). I can't comment on docked since I'm only playing handheld mode.
Never played Diablo but I bought this on a whim because I played a bit of Torchlight II one time and liked it... turned out to be a good choice. The initial difficulties are a joke though, I wasn't even out of Act I before I found myself bumping it up to Master just so the enemies would have a chance at posing a threat. I assume Torment is where it really gets going.
Torment typically requires a decent build and decent equipment. You get so many levels at higher difficulties that you will sometimes out pace your equipment gains so you might have to bump your difficulty back down occasionally prior to reaching 70.
Is there a Discord for Diablo ERA ? Maybe it could be easier to share friend codes and form farming/levelling groups ? I wish there was a tag for knowing what friends are doing before to enter. The result is I don't dare to join when I do specific things for the season for example, or bounties when people are farming rifts. You can't even know what difficulty is set before joining. Another detail I miss from the PC version : the preview for the transmog is way too tiny.
It's portable. Blizzard said it had parity with the other console versions. So far as someone who has logged 1000's of hours in D3 on PC/PS4 Pro it seems like a perfect port.
So wait, I do need an internet connection to play a seasonal character? I started one because earlier in the thread people were going on about how you don’t need a connection to play one. I’ll have to do some tests before my commute on Tuesday I guess :p
