SEATTLE - A level 1 sex offender was on Thursday morning on suspicion of arrested for voyeurism in the women’s bathroom at the King County Administration Building.

KIRO 7 has learned the suspect is level 1 sex offender Nathan Holland.

Holland is homeless and required to check in with the King County Sheriff’s Sex Offender office on the second floor of the King County Administration Building once a week.

According to an email sent by the Facilities Management Division (FDM) to people who work in the building, the suspect was in the women’s restroom on the fourth floor at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

The email was sent to employees at 2:37 p.m. and addressed safety concerns.

The email says the FDM has increased security presence in and around downtown core buildings and increased Seattle police presence around the courthouse and city hall park. It also says restrooms on the fifth floor of the administration building will be converted for employee use only.

Alex Fryer, Director of Communications for the Office of King County Executive Dow Constantine, sent the following statement to KIRO 7 in response to the arrest:

"King County puts paramount importance on the safety of the public and its employees. In response to the arrest of a man who approached a female employee in the women’s restroom at the Administration Building on Nov. 1, we have increased security around King County facilities. In addition, Seattle Police will increase patrols around the Courthouse and City Hall Park. Our employees have been reminded of security protocols, and how to best inform authorities of potential incidents. Our facilities continue to be a welcoming place for the public."
