Welcome
The Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway - almost always referred to as the S&D - was a greatly loved and well used English railway line connecting Bath and Bournemouth. Our aim is to restore as much of the whole line as possible, from Bournemouth to Bath and to Glastonbury and Wells, using a mix of lobbying, strategic track-bed purchase and restoration of sections of the route as they become viable.

Progress Report
We have purchased Midford railway station and are actively working to restore it.
Work is beginning on the restoration of Spetisbury railway station.
We are working with the Somerset and Dorset Railway Heritage Trust to raise funds to purchase Masbury railway station.
