Disney’s animated film Ralph Breaks the Internet had its premiere in Los Angeles’ El Capitan Theatre. In attendance were Mandy Moore, Taraji P Henson, Sarah Silverman, the members of American rock band Imagine Dragons among others.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is the sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph, which was about video-game characters inside arcade game machines in a gaming parlour. The main character, Ralph (John C Reilly) was the villain in a video-game and was mistreated and ostracised just for doing his job. In Ralph Breaks the Internet, as the title implies, the internet comes into the picture. Rich Moore, who directed the original, returns to co-direct with Phil Johnston.
Imagine Dragons has created the song “Zero” for the movie. The lead vocalist of the band Dan Reynolds said, “They are compelling because they are real to each of us, personally,” said Reynolds. “That journey of feeling like nothing and trying to realize and recognize your worth as a human is an important part of life. And given the distorted version of reality kids face online and the expectations that come with it, this struggle is real for so many people right now.”
Ralph Breaks the Internet releases on November 23.
