Barrie M. Osborne is a movie producer, executive producer, production manager and director. He is an alumnus of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and currently lives in Wellington, New Zealand.
Osborne's most notable work is The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King for which he won the Academy Award for Best Picture, which he shares with Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh. He was born on February 7th, 1944 in New York city. He also produced the movie-series Matrix. Has been nominated for three Oscars and won one: Best picture The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. His other two nominations were for the other two films. He is considered to be one of the best producers of this time. Ever since 1997 with the movie Face Off the movies he has produced have been good. After producing the Lord of the Rings he made good friends that live in New Zealand and also loved the landscape leading him to staying and currently live in Wellington, New Zealand. He started his career in 1976, He is currently 65 years old.
