During your training you will gradually become an expert in materials testing. You can then work in various areas of quality assurance and further develop test procedures and testing technologies. You will specialize in various subject areas and participate in projects involving multiple disciplines.

Tool mechanic

An Audi doesn’t build itself. We naturally need high-quality tools for this. As a tool mechanic, you manufacture tools, check them and repair them if they are defective. A good and precise tool is the basis for the quality of our side wall frames, doors, tailgates and engine hoods and other car body parts. The training lasts a total of 3.5 years.

Your tasks:

  • Produce and maintain tools using machines or by hand
  • Assemble individual parts into complete and functioning tools
  • Inspect finished components with the aid of measurement and testing instruments
