1 “For years, as journalist Connie Bruck revealed last September in the New Yorker, AIPAC has strong-armed elected officials, the recipients of the lavish campaign donations it facilitates, into drafting legislation favorable to Israel. Such bills are often written by AIPAC staff and then introduced under the name of some member of Congress.” From – Sandy Tolan, TomDispatch regular and author of The Lemon Tree, is an associate professor at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalismhttp://original.antiwar.com/engelhardt/2015/04/30/the-one-state-conundrum/
2 How We Know AIPAC Wrote The GOP’s “Treason” Letter To Iran
March 9, 2015March 11, 2015 mjayrosenberg AIPACAIPAC, Iran Treason Israel Netanyahu GOP, Tom Cotton -http://mjrosenberg.net/2015/03/09/how-we-know-aipac-wrote-the-treason-letter-to-iran/
The demonization of Iran began at the right ripe moment after Iraq war debacle had started slowing American resolve to change the world to the image promoted by the neocons. Any claim will work given enough space in the media from Yellow Ribbon to the Wiping off to the hegemonic revival of Safavid Empire .
Once articulated by the church leaders, the some of the sheeple would follow. But it doesn’t explain why the killings can be ordered to calm the nerves by the atheist. Like the religious, these atheist see the peace breaking out in the region or even in the rest of the world ( to them America ,the exceptional has plenty of peace and ingredients for continued peace. Its the rest )
Matthew Kroenig is at the CFR and Jamie Fly at FPI – the secular equivalent to the sanctum sanatorium to the highest office God can endow in the temporary world – but lacking his involvement , the donations can do it better .
The open advocating of war or violence to bring peace haven’t the humanity heard that in 2003 and before.?
Whose war they are to prosecute? Who is the god they want to sacrifice the blood to?
What Bible or Koran they leaf through?

” some years ago two rabbis published a book called” The Kings Way” ,which states that killing children of non- Jews is justified if there is any fear that these ,when grown up,would persecute Jews.Several senior rabbis endorsed the book. When pressed, the police started a criminal investigation for incitement. This week the Attorney General finally decided not to prosecute ,on the grounds that the rabbis only quoted religious texts”

.only in Israel ,secular forces can add legitimacy to the fundamentalist’s cries for children’s blood by reminding that the text was purely for faith and belief and not to be confused with order or commandment or even should never be imagined in secular circle as a factor for provocation. It lays the logic that if violence by IDF or settler could be traced to the teaching ,it can always be argued that the text was for faith and belief – the user should know how to use the product ( defective but don’t blame the item for accidents!) safely !
But Pamella Geller and neocon appreciate how helpful the text are while attempting to find the wordings so that the leaders, actors, scholars can continue to raise fear against Islamofascism.
They just don’t want any Attorney General come in their way .
No ,you are wrong. Its not the flight of Prophet Muhammed. Its the return on cargo after 2000 yrs: the cargo of the shipload of Talmud and OT with some 2000 yrs old human being claiming to be alive and staking the right to build some Kibbutz so that they learn how to argue for the claims for next 70 yrs among the Evangelic and in the media that God gave them this land and they found the deed in Balfour paper in English. They also proclaimed that they abhorred the ideas of Dhimnitude ,so they decided to kill and transfer the rest , leaving some to stay as 20 th century’s version of Dhimnitude. To add some religious cant that Evangelic might like ,they explained the intransigence of the Muslim against leaving ,to the flight of their prophet from this part of the earth .
They explain the nonexistence of Iranian nuclear program same way- on some fanatic religious belief.

“In the run-up to the Baltimore riots, Congress debated ways to tell Europeans what their Mideast policies should be. Working with an AIPAC-drafted playbook, Maryland senator Ben Cardin and Illinois representative Peter Roskam attached language to a large trade bill intended to squelch the growing movement in Europe to label as such Israeli products that originate in the occupied territories. The AIPAC amendments defined as primary American goals in trade talks the discouragement of European economic sanctions against Israel. Mike Coogan’s account of the behind-the-scenes maneuvers highlighted some glimpses of House legislators stunned at the brazenness of AIPAC in action. First hearings on the bill were moved to a smaller room to keep out the public. Then, at the last moment, pro-Israel anti-boycott amendments were tacked on, with language treating Israel and “Israeli-controlled territories” as identical. One congressman asked Chairman Paul Ryan why members of the Ways and Means Committee were unable to consider public health, or labor standards, or food safety in debating the trade legislation, but were able on short notice to rubberstamp an AIPAC-sponsored amendment. He didn’t receive an answer.
The larger point made by the U.S. Congress is that it is wrong for Palestinians to fight for their freedom by terrorism or any form of armed struggle, but it is also wrong to seek their rights by peaceful political means such as boycott. If you are a Palestinian, you have no legitimate way to seek political and civil rights, no avenue is open to you—and Congress is going to intervene in American trade policy to try to enforce that. Congress will make it a priority to instruct U.S. trade policymakers to protect Israeli settlements, considered illegal by virtually every country in the world. About measures (labor practices, health and safety standards) which might protect U.S. workers and U.S. consumers, Congress doesn’t have time for. By the way, Cardin, who introduced the senate version, represents Baltimore.

I think you misunderstood why I said what i said. I just have a very difficult time believing that American Whites- a people that have created a superpower nation-can be easily manipulated by pro- Israel groups had they already been receptive to it for their own self-interest.
[…] War and Religion: Don’t tell me ‘the Bible made me do it’ by Philip Giraldi for The Unz Review. […]
What racist nonsense, Merema! It is well-nigh impossible to overstate the malign influence of Israel’s hasbara campaign in US media. To suggest that “American White Men” use “Jews” as an excuse for their “martial tradition” turns reality on its head. Pro-Israel US media owners and operatives pump lucrative, socially-destabilizing, hyper-violent media product freighted with political messaging into American popular culture with criminal abandon. Hollywood’s campaign to “normalize torture in the public consciousness” is but one example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_reaction_to_24#Torture
American evangelicals don’t support israel because of religion..this is a fallacy I used to have. Israel and support for Jews are an excuse and a cover and a means for the American White Men to execute their martial tradition in a world that has emasculated them with notions of human rights, World Peace, Geneva Conventions and what not. Israel is more important to them now more than ever since the communist threat no longer exists.
Apologies Fran as my phrasing was poor – like you I actually believe that she and her associates are as you put it, ‘biblically illiterate.’ Thanks.
“In my opinion, Bachmann and her millions of clones let their Bibles do their thinking for them…”
I respect your opinion Phil, but I disagree that Bachmann and those who are likeminded are even doing so. Their biblical illiteracy is stunning and incoherent, as they repeat fragments cherry-picked out of context, that appear to confirm either what they already believe, or that someone else wants them to and has told them is so. The kind of fabulist belief system that has been arranged for them, didn’t even exist as a theology very long before the last century, and is peculiar to America. Its creation coincides with the great expansion of eccentric religious creativity of that era, from Mormonism to Jehovah’s Witnesses, who also have been obsessed with calculating End Times and Armageddon, and whose predictions so far have been as erroneous as Bibi’s have been about the immanent development of Iranian nuclear weapons.
Anyone who reads the Bible in whole and takes it seriously, knows how in error these lately dreamed up religious innovations are. That they are currently in vogue thanks to televangelists whose lack of credibility make Elmer Gantry appear a pillar of honesty is not surprising. These banal charlatans have become wealthy by their willingness to say anything that generates them a buck or several million. That they are allied with wealthy interests who make money from promoting war definitely proves they aren’t in service of the Prince of Peace. Rather, their aim is to manufacture a portion of public opinion that can be driven by the sincere religious impulses of a number of Americans who want to do what’s pleasing to God, but haven’t developed the critical ability themselves to know what that is, misusing it to lend authority and credibility to what policies elites instead want.
When billionaire gambling impresarios’ and the wolves of Wall Street’s war speculators’ belief systems are synonymous with those of self-appointed televangelists, then it shouldn’t be hard to figure out that the flock is being fleeced through some pretty sleazy manipulations that are completely contrary to Biblical truth.

Thank you very much Solon for the reminiscence – I have fond memories of that song at my own confirmation. It was the Catholic version of Onward Christian Soldiers according to the nuns!
Ancient Israel may have been created by God but modern Israel was created by British imperialism.
If Obama’s deal with Iran is speeding up the return of Christ (as though that’s humanly possible), then why isn’t Bachmann supporting the deal?
As a Bible-believing Christian myself, all I can say is that these “Christian” Zionists don’t speak for me nor do they speak for the millions of other Bible-believing Christians around the world. They most definitely DO NOT speak for the Bible.

Jews have never loved blacks. In fact, they despise them. What Jews found useful in the black race (in the US) was that blacks offered a cheap, convenient battering ran behind which they (Jews) could hide while they financed a movement to remove all state and federal laws initially associated with “racial discrimination”. But, as per long-range Jewish planning, have since been broadened and expanded to include doing away virtually any law or personal opinion against anyone (including homosexuals) that Jews use to corrupt and destroy the moral and social fabric of the Western world.

Perhaps the Pope could be more pointed in his statements. If he were, I doubt that it would help the Palestinians one wit.

The past premature diagnoses of the death of the Religious Right have been in response to elections in which they failed to present a united front, as has happened again. But while the press announces the end of the culture wars, a newer and more potent movement has emerged like a phoenix from the ashes of Darby's dispensationalism. The triumph of dominion theology, and the gradual unleashing of a new breed of spiritual warriors from the restraints of Dispensational theology, is transforming much of the Charismatic evangelical world. The shift from Dispensationalism to Dominionism has produced a marked change in activism. Ironically many of these charismatic Dominionist leaders have been pegged by the press as a wave of "new evangelicalism" and a progressive resurgence, perhaps a return to the social gospel, or even a new liberation theology

Millions in the Pentecostal/Charismatic sector of Christianity are now actively involved in spiritual warfare networks, prayer marches, long term fasting, around the clock prayer vigils, and organized campaigns like "Reclaiming the Seven Mountains of Culture" to take control over society and government. These seven mountains are government, education, arts and entertainment, media, family, religion, and business. Many pastors across the Pentecostal/Charismatic spectrum have rejected the pre-Tribulation Rapture and embraced these campaigns for dominion. Youth across the country are being trained to be warriors, much like the Tribulation Force of the Left Behind series. However, in this scenario, true believers will not be snatched away from the earth before the battle begins, and there will be no waiting for armies from heaven. These Christian warriors, representing the "corporate body" of Christ, plan to be victorious over evil themselves.

RE:
“You missed by a mile .. ADL support for Mikey has been practically non-existent and the people funding them would likely not fund Mikey.”
I find this statement hilarious because Ole Mikey seems to deliberately target those of the ADL/SPLC persuasion in all his ads and media appearances. I didn’t say that the ADL directly funds him. The ADL would never directly support anyone who has stirred up the animus of the Christian community as quite as much as Mikey has. Any sort of direct support for him might endanger the vital support of fundamentalist Christians for Israel, something that the ADL/SPLC would never do.
Instead the ADL/SPLC would simply give him their tacit seal of approval by not criticizing his efforts and “helping” to ease his way onto his frequent media appearances.
Has Ole Mikey been also fighting for the separation of church and state by going after all those menorahs that seem to be sprouting up each December on government owned properties for what seems like decades now. Somehow I get the idea he hasn’t.
Dear “Arnold”:
There’s nothing like a discussion of religion mixed with politics to get the pulse racing and the fur flying!
It also, very often, gets the facts mangled. Case in point: “The Roman Emperor Constantine came into power in the 4th century BCE…” Yo, Scholar Dude: We would accept your brilliant refutation of Christianity with better grace if you could at least demonstrate a grasp of basic history. Since Constantine the Great came to power in 306 AD, your chronology is a mere 600 years or so off.
Here’s what happened: You aren’t comfortable with the fancy new euphemism for “BC” (“Before Christ”) which is the new, MSM-approved and kosher-certified “BCE” (“Before the Common Era”). You thus, in your eager haste to teach us something, confused it with “AD” (“Anno Domini”).
Marco Antonio de Dominis said, “In necessariis unitas, in dubiis libertas, in omnibus caritas.” Before seeking a public role as a teacher in matters of religion, you perhaps should reflect upon your possible need to seek and attain a greater degree of “caritas”. There have been many Christians far wiser than you, difficult as it may be for you now to accept that.
I’ll be back.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, and I suppose this is the basis for your "Old Testament Dominionist Crusading Conquerors" rhetoric. A "non-interventionist friend of [his] with a religiously conservative background" has told us the driving motivation behind one-third of our military? He's a guy whose parents made him go to church when he was a kid. All it takes is one know-nothing to confirm what you've decided in advance to be true.
a non-interventionist friend of mine who comes from a religiously conservative background explained to me how the contradiction partly derives from the fact that many evangelical Christians hardly relate to the New Testament at all. While they can recite scripture and verse coming from the Old Testament, they are frequently only marginally conversant with the numerous episodes in the New Testament that attest to Jesus’s extolling the virtues of peacemaking and loving one’s neighbor. [bold mine-secretaryns]
1) This article really falls apart once you realize that the Christian faith as practiced in this country is heavily skewed toward the New Testament. Christians have informed the military ethos for centuries. So far, they have invariably obeyed orders.
Many Christian fundamentalists understandably believe that their first duty is to God, not necessarily to their country or to their fellow citizens, but they fail to see how such a view might be considered unacceptable in someone who chooses to work for the government.
I always shake my head when it comes to recalling a Black woman comedian stating ‘Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.’ Not to convince yourself but to give insights to others who might read here; here’s a clue of how clueless you are ..

Apparently history is not a foundational guide among those people like the former congress lady who is clearly rabid. Also instead of thinking that there is this great love for Israel among our fellow citizens consider the tens of millions used to brand Israel in a favorable light. Its not the Bible that has done this it is the commercial branding op. This is mentioned in Johns and Stephens book.
Hugo First actually gave a better reply than I did...
So what you mean by ‘dominionism in the military’ is ‘conservative Christians in the military”
Great, thank you, great link. I just read the whole thing, and the word “dominionist” or its variants do not appear. Actually, I read the first two paragraphs yesterday, which is all it took to make it clear that Mr. Giraldi doesn’t know much about evangelicals, fundamentalists, or dominionists.
From that paragraph:
a non-interventionist friend of mine who comes from a religiously conservative background explained to me how the contradiction partly derives from the fact that many evangelical Christians hardly relate to the New Testament at all. While they can recite scripture and verse coming from the Old Testament, they are frequently only marginally conversant with the numerous episodes in the New Testament that attest to Jesus’s extolling the virtues of peacemaking and loving one’s neighbor. Wrong, wrong, wrong, and I suppose this is the basis for your “Old Testament Dominionist Crusading Conquerors” rhetoric. He’s a guy whose parents made him go to church when he was a kid. All it takes is one know-nothing to confirm what you’ve decided in advance to be true.
To be even close to correct, evangelical Christians would have to be much more educated than the general population. Why? Because outside of a handful of books in the OT, the New Testament is far and away easier to read and understand. Evangelicals (and fundamentalists) have carried around pocket-sized NT & Psalms compilations for decades, because they’re easier to read. Most of the Old Testament requires at least a passing understanding of hermeneutics and exegesis. Do you suppose that evangelical Christians are more educated than most people? I can tell you from experience that they are not. But don’t take my word for it. If you’re intellectually curious, I’m sure you’ll check out an evangelical blog or two and find out for yourself what they emphasize.
The rest of that link is the same old claptrap about how bad it is to have evangelicals in the military. Presumably, some other ideology or faith is preferable, although Mr. Giraldi does not specify which one.
Here’s the most clueless part:
Many Christian fundamentalists understandably believe that their first duty is to God, not necessarily to their country or to their fellow citizens, but they fail to see how such a view might be considered unacceptable in someone who chooses to work for the government.
1) This article really falls apart once you realize that the Christian faith as practiced in this country is heavily skewed toward the New Testament. Christians have informed the military ethos for centuries. So far, they have invariably obeyed orders.
2) It is a fact that the religious have more physical courage, and are more likely to follow orders, than the non-religious. It is also a fact that both courage and cowardice are contagious. Gosh but I hope you like facts because here’s a third one: the American military at the fighting level is uncommonly effective.
I suppose if our military was a weak kitten, that might put a stop to the constant interventions around the globe. But instead of turning our troops into ineffective leftists, we could fix what’s actually broken, which is the Pentagon, White House, and defense industry.

Of course, the planes couldn’t make the three towers fall. That would be impossible. However, Niels Harrit, Uni of Copenhagen, and 8 more scientists found advanced nano-thermite on WTC. So, nano-thermite did it, not the planes. Did OBL have access to nano-thermite ?
By the way, is this the same Mikey Weinstein who was brought in as legal council during the Iran Contra disaster apparently in order to specifically shield Israel from any fallout?
As a matter of fact Mikey was assigned to the White House & work on Iran Contra, when in the Air Force, by the Department of Defense. He had no say in the matter. Insofar as shielding Israel from fallout, that was more about shielding the Reagan White House (Robert Gates & GHW Bush, particularly) from fallout. Israel would have been ‘collateral damage’ as it were.
Is this the same Mikey Weinstein whose heads an organization which is primarily funded by many of the very same people who are the same principal funders of the virulently anti Christian (and rabidly pro Israel) Anti Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center?
You missed by a mile .. ADL support for Mikey has been practically non-existent and the people funding them would likely not fund Mikey. They”d be much more interested in avoiding alienating a ‘rabidly pro-Israel’ right-wing Christian Zionist alliance where the Pat Robertsons of this world support West Bank settlement. The right wing of the Jewish community is where ADL draws much of its support from. No real friends of Mikey there. Mikey draws most of his support from Christians of the center politic and old line conservatives with little support from the left as they are just as blind to the circumstance of how he was assigned to work on Iran Contra as yourself -
It’s a historic fact that the new testament was written in 333 in Constantinople by the emperor and the bishops. For that reason the Gospel of Judas and more importantly the Gospel of Maria Magdalena are not in the bible. By the way, the Mahabharata is 4 times bigger and thousands of years older.
The real problem is that Pentagon/Washington aims to achieve a Disarming First Strike Capability as outlined in the books by missile engineer Bob Aldridge and on http://www.plrc.org
And the Russian answer to that ? Probably Launch On Warning in 2-3 years. And that means of course Suicide Guaranteed thanks to the bloody fools in Pentagon/Washington.
409 missiles in Poland and 239 missiles in Romania “to defend us from Iran” ???????
And on 32 ships in the Mediterranean “to defend us from Iran” ???????
Yeah, there won't be a need to consult Daily Kos on Dominionism. Conservative Christian theology is not something they understand, and why would they? The distinction I described, and that you ignored, is boring and irrelevant to them. Christians are dumb, and that's all they need to know, right?
Maybe you should google ‘dominionism’ and look at the top ten results. And to stay on topic, choose ‘dominionism in the military.’
What mentality is that, my nitpick with semantics? How stupid I must seem! But, lest anyone out there might be thinking that I'm A-OK, I should probably admit that I don't think Jews are evil. As a matter of fact, I rather like them. Sorry!
Then question what others (who read here) might think of your sequestered (or whatever it is puts the blinders on) mentality.
I've heard it's a real hellhole!
BTW Orange County in California would welcome you with open arms
So what you mean by ‘dominionism in the military’ is ‘conservative Christians in the military”
Hugo First actually gave a better reply than I did…
http://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/old-testament-army/
“perhaps you missed this”
Wrong, wrong, wrong, and I suppose this is the basis for your "Old Testament Dominionist Crusading Conquerors" rhetoric.
Well said!
Jews are just as lunatic as Evangelicals.
Arguably the major difference is that Jews come with a higher IQ and a veneer of European sophistication, a thing which makes them even more dangerous than their Jesus-loving batshit ignorant goyishe supporters who aren’t smart enough to be really dangerous on their own and whose propaganda and the crypsis of their religious lunacy is nowhere near as deep or as advanced.
And the dislike is mutual between them. Jews despise Christianity and believe Dispensationalists only really care about Israel and Jews insofar as they can get their Armageddon– and they are right; but they themselves knowingly use Christians (and their children-soldiers’ lives and tax dollars) to achieve their own eschatological goals, and if that hurts the goyimkopfs, then so be it: they are all wannabe Nazis anywawy; the Jewish Torah worthies who achieve Heroic status by putting a big one over on the unChosen would certainly approve.
sorry geokat62.
what if we split the difference? I wouldn’t mind shedding a bit of my “handle,” but 60 would put me too far out of reach.
GW:
Once again, where is this overwhelming evidence that war with Iran is imminent?
I don’t think I said that “war is imminent.”
Legislators, opinion-leaders and -shapers and propagandists from one end of the spectrum to the other are working to normalize the mindset that the only two options for dealing with Iran are (coercive) negotiations that result in a deal, or military action — “all options are on the table.” We have all heard time and time again that “Iran must not have nuclear weapons; either Iran negotiates away its (nonexistent) nuclear weapons or we will take military action to destroy them.”
Such repeated statements do not suggest that war is imminent, but they clearly suggest that war is the only alternative to the kind of deal that US legislators have signaled by their recent votes, must be made.
That vote does not assure me that US legislators seek to bargain in good faith. As Hillary Mann Leverett stated in an appearance on C Span recently, “the core of the bargain that was struck in 2013 was significant restraints on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.” (@ 17 min) Iran has already complied with restrictions that were part of that deal. A final agreement that does subject Iran to restrictions and inspections of its nuclear program but does not grant sanctions relief would be the equivalent of USA and Iran agreeing that Iran will sell USA a piece of real estate; Iran delivers the real estate but USA does not pay for it.
Parenthetically, as Leverett stated in that recent C Span appearance and on numerous other occasions, sanctions are themselves a form of warfare and have also proved time and again that they are not effective in achieving the desired results, although as in the case in Iraq, they have resulted in the “deaths of a million people, half of them children.”
The set-up that I suspect US legislators of attempting is one in which Iran will be cornered: Benjamin Ginsberg described the scheme in his discussion about “The Worth of War” –
“parties will be provoked into reacting violently, whereupon a stronger force will crush their violent reaction.” http://www.c-span.org/video/?323264-1/book-discussion-worth-war
The heart of the issue with which I am most concerned is whether or not there is Just Cause to wage war against Iran.
The gambit described above that I suspect is unfolding amounts to an end-run around justice and therefore a vitiation of Just War theory. No one should allow themselves to be fooled.
I’m not sure what you’re going on about with respect to whether Iran is “paternalistic” or “theocratic” or “Muslim majority” or “has moderate Muslims” or whether or not an Iranian citizen who no longer has any position or power in the Iranian government “accepts an autonomous Jewish state run by Jews under Jewish law for Jewish benefit”. Based upon Just War theory, none of those statements present facts that give rise to the right to wage war on Iran.
When I composed the comment that you responded to I had in mind conversations I had with a professor at Qom, who told my colleagues and me that “Iranians had a particular fondness for Jews, but were adamantly opposed to the zionist regime in Israel.” As I examine the situation more thoroughly, it becomes more understandable that some Jewish people and, perhaps, a majority of Israeli Jews who, like Varenik, have Russian roots — are completely divorced from the experience and attachments of Mizrahi or Iranian Jews to Persia.
PS — your complaints cause me to hypothesize that “war is a state of mind.” There are many, many powerful voices in the US and elsewhere that are attempting to propagate what I consider a “psychotic” and hateful perception of Iran and therefore, a war-like state of mind.
PS2 — Here’s an interesting paper from a Danish university on Just War Theory as applied to US-led war on Iraq
http://dyhr.com/speciale/JustWarInIraq2003.pdf
This footnote was informative:
3 Philosophers dating back to ancient Greeks have presented ideas of just causes for war, Von Clausewitz is by many considered to have introduced the concept of just war in international law. Hans Kelsen is by some considered a modern day representative of just war notions in legal theory.
The problem you have with this is one salient fact Mr Giraldi has already put forward:
Those who are inclined to enter into conflict with Iran would do well to study Augustine and his just war theory, reflect deeply on it, and then explain to the rest of us what the Iranians have done to America that would warrant our visiting upon them, and ourselves, all that war really is
When it is demagogues deciding what is 'just' (as has ever been the case with Christiandom at war) there is nothing straightforward with the theory of St Augustine at all; throughout Christian history 'just war' in the sense of 'just' the adjective has been very much displaced by 'just' (only) war in the sense of just the adverb. It follows, those people who promote St Augustine's theory to people with fingers on the nuclear trigger are little interested in facts at odds with their imaginations, as it ever were. If they don't have a casus belli, they'll certainly 'imagine' one up (often this notion is manifest in what's known as a 'false flag')
Larison argues that hostility to Iran is so widespread in the Republican Party at all levels that it has become dogma, a pledge that any GOP candidate, if elected, would actually be compelled to keep if only to maintain control of his own party relating to the issue
Dear Mr. West,
I believe you are reinforcing my point. I explained why I do not side with those who appear to be seeking an occasion of war against Iran.
Your statement that Augustine’s just war doctrine is flawed may well be the case. However, it’s the best thing going — much better than secular philosophers such as von Clausewitz or Sun Tzu. He argues that war should be avoided unless its alternative is even worse.

“Nice to see this Phil. Another fact worth examining is the ‘Christian Dominion’ infection of the USA’s armed forces (and by extension, NATO) as put forward by a traditional conservative, Mikey Weinstein, who’d agree with your friends ‘batshit ignorant.’ Or perhaps better said; batshit crazy.”
“Mikey Weinstein, traditional conservative.” Not quite traditional, more like a Neo.
By the way, is this the same Mikey Weinstein who was brought in as legal council during the Iran Contra disaster apparently in order to specifically shield Israel from any fallout?
Is this the same Mikey Weinstein who goes out his way during fund raising appeals to Jewish audiences to constantly mention how he was constantly picked on at the Air Force Academy for being Jewish while there many decades ago. (This, by the way, was long before before the appearance of any large scale fundamentalist movement there.) It must be an effective tool since Mikey is very well financed. To hear Mikey tell it, instead of cracking the books at the Academy the other students spent all of their waking hours persecuting poor Mikey.
Is this the same Mikey Weinstein whose heads an organization which is primarily funded by many of the very same people who are the same principal funders of the virulently anti Christian (and rabidly pro Israel) Anti Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center? Many of these very same people are also generous contributors to the Israeli Defense Forces fund raising drives.
Old Mikey, ready to criticize gentiles at the drop of a hat but god help the poor gentile who criticizes Jews. Free (i.e. hate) speech for the goyim is not to be allowed!

Maybe you should google 'dominionism' and look at the top ten results. And to stay on topic, choose 'dominionism in the military.'
Dominionism means something. It means to establish a Christian kingdom right here in the US of A, whereas Christ made clear his kingdom was not of this earth. Dominionism is a heresy, and an uncommon one to boot. At least I assume it’s uncommon, given that I was raised a conservative Christian and I’ve never met a Dominionist.
Maybe you should google ‘dominionism’ and look at the top ten results. And to stay on topic, choose ‘dominionism in the military.’

So what you mean by ‘dominionism in the military’ is ‘conservative Christians in the military”
The one thing I know as a born-again Christian is that I can’t effect the second coming of Christ.
This nation has turned from obedience to the One True Living God and instead worships idols.
The people have therefore become polluted and their politics corrupt.
Historically, the Jews fall prey to the same stiff-necked hubris.
Who can deny that we are careening towards one-world dictatorship and total surveillance?
Gods Chosen People.
Fact: 1000 Arab lives = 1 American life. 100 American lives = 1 Israeli life.
All I have to mention is USS Liberty.
When Israel kills American service personnel and not even get a slap on the wrist (during 1967 no less) why would America 2015 (or even 2016), which is completely in Israels pocket, be more recipient to put US interests ahead of Israel. Republican or Democrats.
Israel is so untouchable that LBJ was going to bomb Cairo during that incident (with rumors of it being a nuclear-armed air strike launched from a carrier in the Mediterranean) but was recalled at the last minute when it was confirmed the Liberty was not sunk and the Israelis did it.
Did LBJ launch conventional-armed bombers from the carrier against Israel? OF COURSE NOT. American lives are cheap compared to Israelis…. now Israel enjoys +3 billion dollars of US aid. OBL probably assumed if he fell the two WTC towers with 3000 American lives he’d get trillions of dollars of aid from the US… I mean makes sense right? Too bad he forgot that he wasn’t Gods Chosen People(tm).
So yes we’re all going to war with Iran because its what Gods Chosen People want. Just like Iraq, except the shift from ally to enemy won’t be so drastic due to the already sour history between the US and Iran. And just like Iraq the destruction of its national capabilities only benefited one party… Israel. It didn’t benefit the US, prestige-wise or economically, it surely didn’t benefit Iraq going from a nation that had running tap water to some fourth-world Afghanistan-clone (with warlords and all), it didn’t benefit the region and the monarchies that now have to deal with ISIL and refugees in record numbers.
No problem S2C, but you shortchanged me sixty in my handle!
I borrowed this from Dan Sanchez about War, and the State – I would like to include religion in the herd mentality as well:
“The herd mind manifests vividly, not only in war rallies, but in political rallies, where rival herds low and bray against each other. At these rallies, fevered minds are filled, not only with “foreign menaces,” but various domestic ones: “welfare bums,” “selfish businessmen,” “the gay agenda,” “bigoted shopkeepers,” “droves of ‘illegals,’ “gentrification,” “urban thugs,” etc.”
thank you for the link, geokat2.
We have been discussing C Bradley Thompson’s appearance at a CATO forum to discuss his book, “Neoconservatism: An Obituary for An Idea” http://www.cato.org/events/neoconservatism-obituary-idea#
1. Ahmadinejad did not say that Israel should be wiped off the map. He said zionism would disappear with the pages of time -- much like Communism, a political movement, failed of its own inner contradictions. In fact, it's the lying Bachmanites & zionists who concocted and perpetuate that lie.2. Ahmadinejad was not "assuaging the Islamic bloc in his country." He reflected a broadly shared view of many Iranians of all "blocs." Most Iranians are enormously protective of Jews, who have lived securely and prosperously in Persia/Iran for over 2400 years -- longer and more comfortably than any other place in the world. 3. The Iranian sentiment that Ahmadinejad expressed is not "mere hyperbole." Zionism is considered a deformation of the practices and beliefs of Jews as Iranians understand Jewish people who have lived in Iran for 2400 years. Iranians, and Ahmadinejad, express a kind of sadness that Jews in Israel are being ill-served by their zionist leaders.4. Moreover, Ahmadinejad had no power to carry out a policy that he did not assert in the first place. And as explained in #2, above, he would not have found popular support among Iranians for such a policy.5. Michele Bachman enjoys a different and more dangerous platform: she can influence elections that could place persons who share her genuinely murderous views in positions where they can carry them out. She is far more dangerous than Ahmadinejad.6. It is a mistake, rather, it is an obscenity to associate Bachman's ravings with "Christian eschatology" or anything identified as Christian.
If you can ignore Ahmadinejad’s language about wiping Israel off the map as merely hyperbole to assuage the Islamic bloc in his country, you can do the same whenever Bachmann or another Republican appeals to the Christian eschatology of her constituents.
Once again, where is this overwhelming evidence that war with Iran is imminent? In your confused and inane response, you’ve simultaneously missed and reinforced my point. Because of their foreign policy views, paleos excuse the bad behavior of foreign adversaries while demonizing and hyperbolizing the statements of their hawkish countrymen. Thus the former leader of a rigidly theocratic nation like Iran has less sway in his country than a marginalized former Congresswoman does in her secular one. This defies reason of course, unless one is more concerned with ranting against American power than say, an objective truth about the affairs of the world. The simple enjoy seeing things in black and white. They are unable to see that even if American foreign policy does have a negative effect on peace, this doesn’t absolve America’s foes of any guilt they too might have.
Thus the confusion that Iran’s paternalistic views toward the Jewish (“people of the book”) minority in its own state means all Ahmadinejad is against is “Zionism”–as if there was any real difference between Zionism and the existence of a Jewish ethnostate in the land of Palestine. “Moderate” Islam, such as we find in Iran, allows for a small Jewish and Christian minority under Sharia. This has nothing to do with their acceptance of an autonomous Jewish state run by Jews under Jewish law for Jewish benefit. Ahmadinejad is fine with Israel existing if by Israel one means a Muslim majority-country with Islamic rulers under Sharia with a few subservient Jews sprinkled in. Anything else in his mind in Zionism, including self-defense from murderous Arabs in Palestine.
I don't think I said that "war is imminent."
Once again, where is this overwhelming evidence that war with Iran is imminent?

“Those who are inclined to enter into conflict with Iran would do well to study Augustine and his just war theory, …”
Those inclined to enter into conflict with Iran are… wait for it, the dreaded neocons! Not sure if you’re familiar with the philosophical roots of the neocon ideology. Rather than studying Augustine, the father of neoconservatism, Leo Strauss, looked to the ancients, especially Plato and his concept of the Noble Lie, for inspiration. The fundamental tenet of neocon ideology is that “there is no rational foundation for morality… It’s all about benefiting others and oneself; there is no objective reason for doing so, only rewards and punishments in this life.”
Here’s an excellent interview about Strauss – http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article5010.htm
EVANGELICALS WHO LOVE JEWS AND THE JEWS WHO HATE THEM.
For the evangelicals, there are no people who are in place of God than the Judaists. They are the biggest Christian Zionists on earth.
But for the Judaists, there are no more disgusting people on Earth than Evangelical Christians–whom they hate the most–more than Muslims and blacks (whom they incidentally love).
See the online article by this professor:
Why Don’t Jews Like the Christians Who Like Them?
Why is it a problem that officers are taught Just War theory?Just War theory undermines the false dilemma, "Either a deal with Iran or war," there's no cause for war w Iran
"to twenty years (or more) of St Augustine’s ‘Just War Theory’ taught to nuclear launch officers"
solontoCroesus,
You and I almost never agree, so I thought it was important to note that in this case we do:
“Just War theory undermines the false dilemma, “Either a deal with Iran or war,” there’s no cause for war w Iran”
Indeed, there is no just cause for an American war with Iran.
Mr. Giraldi is plainly no admirer of certain Christian viewpoints. But I should like to add that the Old Testament concept of war, though intensely maligned in the past few decades, is openly realistic about what war is and what it really means. When considering whether to wage war against an adversary, just war theory would have us consider whether the casus belli is morally worth it. Wars, even at their most conservative, involve the deaths of multitudes of soldiers and civilians. War is the laying aside of civilization. Wars are decisive when whole populations are crushed.
If a war were to be fought with Iran, there is no doubt they would re-apply their successful human wave tactics involving the use of children. Our soldiers are not prepared for that. There will be captives, torture, beheadings, rape hotels, and all the rest. The von Clausewitz notion that war is just another instrument of foreign policy, at least as far as it has impacted bellicose GOP thinking, doesn’t adequately take into account what war is.
Those who are inclined to enter into conflict with Iran would do well to study Augustine and his just war theory, reflect deeply on it, and then explain to the rest of us what the Iranians have done to America that would warrant our visiting upon them, and ourselves, all that war really is.

Homosexuals are quite obviously attempting to shrink the cultural and social space between homosexuals and heterosexuals to 0…And I don’t like this as a heterosexual male. WWG is now being waged with Corporate and State violence. You seem to have a problem with people who notice this
No, Bill, my problem is with your civilization as a whole. I don’t believe many self professed ‘straight-White-males’ (or other colors with ‘White’ or European mentality) are actually straight but heavily inculcated in denial by the very nature of the culture that shapes them:
http://ronaldthomaswest.com/2015/04/16/raphaels-paradox/
^ Western militarism is thoroughly littered with homosexuality and has been for a very long time. I used the Ted Haggard example in my previous comment for a reason; repressed sexual orientation is by far more pathological, damaging and endangering to a society’s health and consequent behaviors (aggressions) than those gays who are ‘out’ (however annoying they might be and yes, I find them annoying with ‘in your face’ gay evangelism but no more annoying than Christians who wear their religion like some badge of ‘worthiness’ of a superior stripe.)
How long have people like Buchanan and Paul and this author been warning against the GOP going to war with Iran? 10 years? Guess what paleos, we aren’t going to war with Iran anytime soon. Bush was able to use the patriotism, anger, and fear in the country following 9/11 to invade Iraq. Barring the nuking of a major American city, no one here is clamoring for another protracted war with no end in sight. If you can ignore Ahmadinejad’s language about wiping Israel off the map as merely hyperbole to assuage the Islamic bloc in his country, you can do the same whenever Bachmann or another Republican appeals to the Christian eschatology of her constituents.

I somehow doubt Zbigniew Brzezinski, whose strategy Obama is following pretty closely in Central Asia geopolitics in relation to Russia and NATO meddling in Ukraine, is motivated by 'gay marriage.' And no doubt Putin allows gay clubs to function because he's terrified of Obama (you think? Laughs)
The Obama Administration is putting a war with Iran on hold so the military resources of the US can be devoted and focused on a full-out war with Conservative Orthodox Christian Russia in the name of gay marriage
The current attempt to gang rape Conservative Orthodox Christian Russia is no doubt motivated on a fundamental level by Mega-CEO greed. It is not a coincidence that without the enormous power of these Mega-CEOS….legalized homosexual marriage and homosexual males in the Boy Scouts would never have been codified into law of the land.
Homosexuals are quite obviously attempting to shrink the cultural and social space between homosexuals and heterosexuals to 0…And I don’t like this as a heterosexual male. WWG is now being waged with Corporate and State violence. You seem to have a problem with people who notice this.
No, Bill, my problem is with your civilization as a whole. I don't believe many self professed 'straight-White-males' (or other colors with 'White' or European mentality) are actually straight but heavily inculcated in denial by the very nature of the culture that shapes them:

Well..Christianity has been a mental framework for Humans who have created deeply profound amazingly great music such as:Classical music….Bluegrass Music….Celtic-Irish music…,The Blues…and Jazz..
Moreover, when Christianity morphed out of the heresy inquisition era..Christian-Physicists and Mathematicians laid the foundations of modern science and math…,with significant contributions from Hindus and Muslims..,.
The New Athiests overrate their “brilliance”…

When I see people fixed on gays as though that will bring on the end of the world, it reminds me of Ted Haggard and his boyfriends … other than that, you might be on to something, Obama could get us blown up with sheer stupidity before the Republicans get their chance with the ‘football’
The comment was written hastily and not properly articulated.
The point was precisely that John Yoo, who, indeed, should not be considered an “authority on morality,” is given that status and a microphone to broadcast his a-moral views.
But to the larger point, RTW — what is the problem with Just War Theory?
—
It’s extremely troubling to see so much WHITE vs NON-white commentary.
Jesus may or may not have actually existed, but the idea — and moral message — of Jesus certainly does.
And IF Jesus actually existed, it is equally plausible that he was Egyptian, Persian, Roman, Greek, African, Chinese, maybe even Arab.
Greenwald is correct; religious fanaticism is a huge factor in Americans’ support for Israel. But I nonetheless reject the notion that there is anything remotely Christ-like about these insane warmongers who claim to be Christian. I do not want anyone to die. I am incredibly sad (and angry) that my faith has been hijacked by these “Left Behind” watching lunatics. Bachmann and Co are equally as hell bent on bringing about the end of the world as they claim are the similarly fanatical ISIS crowd. Christ said “My kingdom is not of this world” and referred to those who had perverted the Jewish religion as the synagogue of Satan.
yes, religion is in many ways bad, and the same goes for religious people. But if the white majority is to take back america, then that takeover must come from the white working class majority…and that means religious white people….
Deal with it…or not…
maybe it would be better with the population so fragmented with diversity and immigration that the people have even less control than they do now…
another alternative–to just let the mass immigration invasion happen, and then decades down the road all the races mix…then the elite would find it harder to divide the populace….
Why is it a problem that officers are taught Just War theory?Just War theory undermines the false dilemma, "Either a deal with Iran or war," there's no cause for war w Iran

Anyone who quotes John Yoo as an authority on morality has a problem with .. morality.

Then question what others (who read here) might think of your sequestered (or whatever it is puts the blinders on) mentality. BTW Orange County in California would welcome you with open arms (it’s a conservative Christian denial thing)
I usually agree with most of what Mr. Giraldi writes, but Michelle Bachmann has never been a viable candidate for president.
Has Cenk Ugur….a Turk…ever denounced Hillary Clinton as a War Criminal?…Has he ever denounced Bill Clinton as a War Criminal?…has he ever denounced Obama as a War Criminal?
Blaming Bible( NT) and Koran is what Bill Maher and Sam Harris do for all the ills but they always stay focussed on inquisition, holocaust on one side and on current AlQuida ISIS Iran Hamas on the other side.
What is most revolting is to see some Catholic or Protestant pundits sit there in silence and when prompted speaking out loud supporting these two Atheist Zionists.
The Criminality of Evangelical Christian Leadership and Democratic Party Leadership differs only in the mode of implementation. The pro-gay marriage Democratic Party is actually way more lethal than the pinhead Evangelical Christian Leadership. The pro-gay marriage “anti-war” movement denounced George W Bush-Chenney-Rice as War Criminals on a daily basis.
The US is on the verge of an open military confrontation with Conservative Orthodox Christian Russia. If this happens…Thermonuclear annihilation is 60 seconds away as it was during the Cuban Missile Crisis(another Democratic Administration).
The Obama Administration is putting a war with Iran on hold so the military resources of the US can be devoted and focused on a full-out war with Conservative Orthodox Christian Russia in the name of gay marriage.
In some very crucial ways, the gay-marriage enthusiasts Democratic Party is way more dangerous than the Evangelical Christians. At the Oscars two years ago, the homosexual best supporting actor winner made an open declaration of War against Conservative Orthodox Christian Russia in the name of Gay Rights. Jewish Liberal Chuck Schummer is working with Hollywood to demonize Conservative Orthodox Christian Vladimir Putin.
Laughs)

JESUS Never EXISTED; CHRISTIANITY IS A FRAUD.
Thanks for exposing this Christian Zionist nutcase Bachman. Christian Zionism can be fought by disproving Christ.
1. Jesus Never Existed. Jesus Christ is a myth. His whole story in the Bible is just myth.
http://www.jesusneverexisted.com
Since Jesus is the main point of Christianity, and he never existed, Christianity collapses.
2. Constantine Invented Jesus. The Roman Emperor Constantine came into power in the 4th century BCE , after killing a dozen relatives. He even murdered even his wife and son. He was the ruler of the vast Roman Empire extending from Europe into the Middle East. There were over a 100 different religious cults, each with their own Messiah, in the Roman Empire, which led to constant conflict. To suppress discord, he wanted to establish a NEW official religion with a NEW Messiah for all his subjects to follow. He somehow picked and chose the myth of the Messiah of the Essenes cult (a Jewish cult) and had him named Jesus. The name Christ was added as a title to signify that the new Jesus was a messiah (kristos, meaning anointed).
Christianity was further spread by force and fraud throughout Europe and beyond. Those who refused, were put to death. Almost 50 million people were put to death in the Middle Ages for questioning Christianity. Inquisitions and Crusades are a tragic chapter in the spread of Christianity. In WW1 (White killing Whites I) and WW2 (Whites killing Whites 2), White Christians killed 100 million of their own brothers and sisters.
2. The Bible (especially the Old Testament, OT) is full of bizarre African myths, violence, barbarity, criminality, pedophilia and incest. See:
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/cruelty/ot_list.html
” There is no text more barbaric than the Old Testament”–Sam Harris.
“It would be more consistent that we call it [OT] the word of a demon than the word of God” –Thomas Paine, in The Age of Reason.
The African cults of Judaism and Christianity are the biggest tragedies of the white race.
“firmly drenched in Old Testament Christian Dominion theology”

Dominionism is a heresy, and an uncommon one to boot. At least I assume it’s uncommon, given that I was raised a conservative Christian and I’ve never met a Dominionist.
Now, language-smudging leftists like you use it to describe anyone with a Bible that hasn’t used a utility knife to cut off the book of Revelation.
“Conservative Christian = Wants 7 Billion People to Die” – Ronald Thomas West, Cenk Uygar, etc.
See, when I say things like “the left wants to distribute anal beads to all children over the age of ten in public schools”, I’m only kidding. I know that probably won’t even be true in California for at LEAST another ten years.
Maybe you should google 'dominionism' and look at the top ten results. And to stay on topic, choose 'dominionism in the military.'

Strangely, these same Christians are in the position of supporting and cheering on the Saudis. The country which has financed Salafist/Wahabbite terrorism, which has slaughtered Christians and decimated Christinity in the Middle East. The country which sent 15 of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 and might have been directly involved in the terrorist acts that day. Disgusting.
I know Free Republic has been fully overtaken by the hasbara, but I think a large number of people on that site are American Christians. Read their vacuous comments about nuking, i.e., committing genocide against, Iran and the Arab world. Better yet, go on there and post some news articles (from legit news outlets) on how Israel is covertly supporting ISIS and providing medical treatment in Israel to ISIS fighters. Your article will be pulled and you’ll be banned.
“to twenty years (or more) of St Augustine’s ‘Just War Theory’ taught to nuclear launch officers”
Why is it a problem that officers are taught Just War theory?
Just War theory undermines the false dilemma, “Either a deal with Iran or war,” there’s no cause for war w Iran
John Yoo is on record (and video) arguing that USA labors under too many restraints on ability to wage war.
You are living in a Leftist Fantasy World. The imported high fertility highly racialized Democratic Party Voting Block installed the War Criminal Kenyan Foriegner POTUS…twice. The Kenyan Foriegner is waging a war of extermination against Eastern Ukranian Russians and eventually Conservative Orthodox Christian Russians. Stop romanticizing nonwhites.
What you have done is given the Kenyan Foriegner a blank check to commit over-the-top-war-crimes.
The trendy Leftist-Liberal antiwar moment dropped Cindy Sheehan like a hot potato as soon as the highly racialized high fertility imported nonwhite Democratic Party Voting Block installed Kenyan Dear Leader POTUS in 2008.
If there were much better economic opportunities for Native Born White American Southern Youth…they wouldn’t be so quick to offer themselves up as canon fodder for the Mega-Corporate owned State which controls post-1965 nonwhite scab labor immigration policy…blame the passage of the 1965 Immigration Reform Act for reducing economic opportunities for the Native Born White American Youth of Appalachia and the larger American South.
The batshit GOP is the same party it was in the late 1850s when it was animated by maniacs like John Brown, who declared that “the United States must be cleansed in bloodshed for the sins of slavery!” Right. Many people in this country still revere Brown. And these are the same people who want to “cleanse” the Mideast of nasty Muslims for the benefit of…Israel!
Who do you think you are fooling? The Bible-thumping lunatic base of the Republican Party are white southerners. These same crackpots were using the Old Testament to justify their practice of slavery: the ridiculous Curse of Ham. In their holy book Egypt was the land of Ham, therefore these geniuses concluded that all africans were cursed by the Bible to be slaves.
The batshit GOP is the same party it was in the late 1850s when it was animated by maniacs like John Brown, who declared that “the United States must be cleansed in bloodshed for the sins of slavery!”
Nice to see this Phil. Another fact worth examining is the ‘Christian Dominion’ infection of the USA’s armed forces (and by extension, NATO) as put forward by a traditional conservative, Mikey Weinstein, who’d agree with your friends ‘batshit ignorant.’ Or perhaps better said; batshit crazy.
^ Cenk states “You’re telling me 28 to 34 percent of our military want 7 billion people to die” [believe in literal Armageddon] … Mikey replies “The simple answer is affirmative”
The evidence for the extremity, and what’s worse, support in the command structure of this batshit crazy phenomena is 1,000 fold greater than what has been drawn attention to in media to now (my personal acquaintance Weinstein regularly forwards to me the hate mail he receives from American military religious extremists) here’s recent example of the rewards for Christian religious extremism not only shielded by but promoted at the highest echelon (the Pentagon)
^ A former White House lawyer assigned there by the Department of Defense when he was an Air Force officer, I don’t doubt Weinstein’s assessments at all. From Chaplains in Afghanistan & Iraq counseling soldiers their problems of conscience will be resolved if only the would come to terms with they are on a crusade (killing Muslims for Jesus) where Bible verses are engraved on sniper scopes, to twenty years (or more) of St Augustine’s ‘Just War Theory’ taught to nuclear launch officers, it’s a bit scary (understatement) to think just who might control NATO’s tactical nuclear weapons in a highly poisoned social environment (considering the Pentagon & NATO headquarters at Brussels, particularly.)
I seldom find reason to criticize this column but I think it comes up short in regards to just how close we could be to literal Armageddon. Hand the Oval Office over to a Ted Cruz type where he’ll have generals firmly drenched in Old Testament Christian Dominion theology advising his every move in relation to geopolitics and you’ll have …………………… (screen goes blank)
Insofar as Michele Bachmann; I beg your pardon for the satire:

"to twenty years (or more) of St Augustine’s ‘Just War Theory’ taught to nuclear launch officers"
Splendid.
My disdain for the lunatic white American christard has never been more complete.
I guess at least some good can still come from the demographic submergence of white America under the tidal wave of immigration if keeps the Republican kook wing out of power.
The Axis of Evil – Israel – Saudi Arabia – the US Congress.
I hold serious doubts about the veracity of ‘polling’. Results are easily skewed by the questions asked.
Considering that about 33% of all Americans actually vote, well, American government certainly does NOT hold any manner of majority mandate.
Given that the US has positioned Navy ships troublingly close to Yemen, the possibility of a confrontation with Iran grows exponentially. The Israel firsters in Congress want a war with Iran and they’re hellbent on making that happen.
One final observation – who is the bigger warmonger, John McCain or Binyamin Netanyahu?
Well written Mr. Giraldi.
