RECENT EVENT – Thanks to all who attended our Wine Tasting!!!

18WineTasting 010-a

On Sunday, March 25 the The Jewish Historical Society of Greater New Haven held a Wine Tasting event at the Jewish Community Center co-sponsored with the Jewish Foundation.  Special Guest Elliot Brause, Wine Maven and former owner of Quality Wine Shop on Broadway was the main speaker. Elliot spoke about different grapes and varieties of wines. He also gave information on how to read and understand a wine bottle label. There were three stations set-up for a tasting of each wine. Those attending could sample a variety of kosher wines such as reds, whites, dry and sweet. All the wines were supplied by “The Wine Thief” wine shop. Then there was a plentiful and delicious kosher buffet provided by Abel Caterers. To complete this enjoyable event, it was hosted in the newly designed “Terrace Room” which has a grand view of the landscape. A good time was had by all!
