Thalapathy Vijay’s Mersal has release in theatres today (October 18) in Tamil and Telugu. However, Bollywood movie fans will get to witness the magic of this superstar when Rohit Shetty’s Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal Again hits screens on October 20. Yes, Thalapathy has a connection with this much awaited comic caper.

We hear that the song Varlaam Varlaam Vaa from Vijay’s Bairavaa that released earlier this year, is a part of Golmaal Again. The idea to play the Tamil version of the song in the film was director Shetty’s brainchild. He loved the song when he saw the film and it just grew on him more over the months. It was then that the director decided to feature Varlaam… in its original Tamil version during an important situation in Golmaal Again.

Expressing his excitement about the same, Santhosh Narayanan, music composer of Bairavaa tweeted, “Proud moment for all of us !#Thalapathy’s #VarlaamVaa goes to bollywood. The song is featured in tamil in #GolmaalAgain. (sic)”

He further said, “Thanks #RohitShetty for retaining #VarlaamVaa. Thank you @actorvijay, @ajaydevgn, @Arunrajakamaraj & my team for this special moment!” (sic).”

Golmaal Again vs Mersal Box Office Prediction: Will Ajay Devgn Or Vijay’s Film Have The Highest Opening At The Ticket Windows?

Golmaal Again vs Mersal Box Office Prediction: Will Ajay Devgn Or Vijay’s Film Have The Highest Opening At The Ticket Windows?

At a time when the line that divides the various film industries within India is fading, these growing synergies between the talents in Hindi film industry and South Indian film industries is a great way forward. Rohit Shetty has also bought the rights of Telugu film Arjun Reddy that he is remaking in Bollywood with Ranveer Singh. Also Prabhas’ upcoming Telugu film Saaho is another example of this. The film has Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead and another Hindi film actor Neil Nitin Mukesh as the villain.

We hope more and more filmmakers and actors from Bollywood and Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood among others come together and work in sync to give us a great movie watching experience in the years to come.
