Uncompromising Match: Shirov vs. Dubov

The second game of the friendly match between GMs Shirov and Dubov finished decisively. "This is a game that should be analysed with the computer" said Alexey in the commentary for Chess-News. 

Shirov also revealed that after 10.h4 he had to plan his play on the board, "Well, I've been playing Slav defence for more than twenty years, but as it turned out I still don't know it completely. I will continue studying it."

The first part of Shirov- Dubov match has finished in Moscow, Russia. Much like yesterday, the experienced GM beat Dubov in Slav defence.

"Well, both GMs like playing Slav and both are trying to show their knowledge of it in both colors," Alexey smiled after the game.

The main sponsor of the match Kramnik - Aronian and the Russian businessman Oleg Skvortsov does not intend to limit himself to a passive participation in the event that started today in Zurich.

Russian businessman proposes to hold a match or a match-tournament

In 2013 Zurich is going to hold one more top level chess competition. The organizer shall once again be Oleg Skvortsov, the one who sponsored Kramnik-Aronian match, which was quite a success in april this year. Next event to go is a match like the one before or a tournament between four top level grandmasters. Exact details and time will be announced later.
