(In the matter of literary references, the only mention of the Xhosa cattle-killing in fiction that I know of is in George MacDonald Fraser’ s 1994 Flashman and the Angel of the Lord.

I know of another: The Cattle Killing, by John Edgar Wideman.I had to read it in Graduate School.It’s certainly not great, but it has some good passages:

His struggle to find her and save them both plummets them both into the nightmare of a society violently splitting itself into white and black. He was born in England, that makes him an English writer, not American.

Of course, Mr. Derbyshire conveniently left out an important nugget–Sir George Grey, the governor of the colony, imprisoned Xhosa chiefs–they, of course, were planning war–and granted additional food to the Xhosa upon signing binding labor contracts. The wily politician was able to procure several hundred thousand acres of Xhosa in the process.

Among those thousands stranded in French Riviera ,were there any one from Niger,Nigeria,Mali,Central African Republic – some of those countries screwed by France as absentee lords for centuries? If they were ,I am glad that they took some of those rents back.
France still puts presidents and prime ministers on offices back to work through camouflaged coups and democratic machinations to control, still fifty years after its own liberation from Nazi , these countries economies.

Michener had an account of the cattle killing cult in his book, The Covenant. I might have read about it in one of Wilbur Smith’s books as well, it has been a few years and I don’t quite remember.

That look almost like some predictions of Siener Van Rensburg where he mentionned then some Europeans will move to South Africa. Also, author Tom Kratman described a similar thing in his dystopian novel “Caliphate”.

I think Derb is right, but it must be said: universalist humanitarianism has to go. This may sound like West’s spiritual suicide, but not necessarily so. I am not, unlike Nietzsche, admirer of the Manu code.

Just, white Europeans & their descendants have to say, out and loud: we like you darkies. We’ll help you- in your countries. But we won’t commit collective suicide by letting you racially, ethnically & culturally inundate us. We wouldn’t let something like that happen among us- say, mass migration of Italians into Norway. And even less so with hundreds of thousands Somalis, Ethiopians, Sudanese, Syrians, Libyans, Pakistanis,… who are unassimilable due to a combination of race & religious culture.

I just returned from London and saw one thing and read three others that indicate the depth of the problem. The first was a BBC segment during which some actor was on a boat picking up Syrian migrants. Some of them were children and they were, of course, terrified. The actor emphasized the need of Europe to do something for these people. There was no hint that maybe importing the people of Syria would bring with them the problems of Syria. The second involved Angela Merkel telling some Lebanese adolescent that Germany couldn’t accommodate all of the Lebanese who would like to live in Germany. The girl burst into tears, which the German chancellor had no response. I suppose to say that Germany really doesn’t need any more rug merchants with plans to marry their cousins and bring yet another mid-Eastern family to Germany, would be hate speech. There was an article on the growing number of genetic illnesses and incidents of (what we used to call congenital idiocy) in the Pakistani population in the U.K., mostly as a result of the now-legal first cousin marriages. Finally, Amren had an article lifted from the Times of India that said India should encourage 300 million people to emigrate in the next 20 or so years. And they’re not going to Namibia or Mozambique. Western Europe may well be doomed.

I’ve just read John O’Sullivan’s piece about Crossbow being his first inspiration to think politically and about the remarkable achievement of its founding four(including Christopher Chataway) in getting the residual refugee problems if 1960 tidied up. What do you think one’s chances would be of raising a lot of money to pay African families to keep their young females being educated and not pregnant? How would you go about it?
