The above image isn’t mine, but I wish it was. I met Laura Park at MoCCA last week… I’m incredibly jealous of her sketchbook work. It’s so intimate and she actually knows how to crosshatch. Very inspirational for both the technique and prolificacy.

This is a picture of the park near my apt here in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I pass through it often on my way to the grocery store. I like these simple awkward figures. Maybe someone will pay me to use them in a book.

More junkmail comics (see post below for a further explanation). My original intention was to make a mini-comic of these things but, uh, I didn’t.

In honour this weekend’s MoCCA festival (Table A57–be there or be square), here’s a bit of a comics-y post. It’s based on text from spam e-mail. I have a whole folder of potential fodder, so I’m sure there’ll be more of these posted in the future.
