    The Reds certainly are trying to (and actually doing so) move their target date up to compete. But they also didn't try to compete for the last four years (front office, not the players - they gave it all they had). Not sure how much credit we should really be giving them.

    Count me out on Bryce. His ego is so big it wouldn’t fit in GABP. He’s overvaluing his production, in my opinion.

    It’s a huge upgrade, IMO. Though prospect cost is a big part of this. I’m okay with giving up India. But I don’t subscribe to the theory that the Reds shouldn’t improve in areas other than the “biggest area of need.”

    The point is the upgrade isn’t big enough to warrant the prospect cost and it fails to address the biggest area of need.

    You're assuming it's just a 2-year window. Also, all the prospects? Even if the rumors are true, the Reds will have improved substantially while only giving up ONE of their top 7 prospects.

    I get your point, but you can't be shocked when some fans don't like trading all the prospects and a good catcher for a 2 year window.

    As 1st reported are trying for Realmuto. see Cincy as having pieces to get it done. Not at finish line and others remain. Over weekend, sense was had strongest chance. Pressure is on Miami to get done, preferably b4 spring training.
