Temple of TuT

Aurora Beast Hunter (Just For The Win)

This would be the result if a group of computer art students with no previous gambling experience got together to create a video slot for a school project

  • 250x max win per single spin...really?

  • Randomly triggered Super Reels...that do nothing

Temple of Tut: Overview

Temple of Tut is a video slot produced by Microgaming partners Just For The Win. It has a setup of 5 reels, 3 rows, 10 paylines and pays both ways. It's playable on all devices from €0.10 to €250 and has a 96.01% RTP.

Temple of Tut is very likely to have been inspired by other ancient egyptian themed classics such as Book of Ra and Book of Dead, except this one will never become a classic...ever. Just like the games mentioned, this one is fairly simple and straight forward, and most players will get a grip of it pretty much straight off the bat. While the main game does have a random feature, it's all about the bonus (which is almost as bad as the main game).

Win on a line pays if 3 or more of the same symbol appear in succession, from the leftmost position to the right, or the rightmost to the left. Only the highest win per line is paid.

Symbols

In this game you join three adventurers on a quest for King Tut's treasure and these adventurers also represent the top symbols. The female adventurer is the most lucrative one and is of the exact same value as the Wild symbol, which is 25x for 5 across a payline. The Wild symbol replaces all symbols except for the Scatter and is only present for the Super Reels feature.

There rest of the symbols are not interesting enough to waste any ink explaining.

Super Reels Feature

The Super Reels feature randomly appear during the main game but is always active in the Free Spins feature. 1 to 5 reels can turn into Super Reels, which basically means stack of wilds are added to the reels. This feature is activated quite frequently and is more often than not useless.

Free Spins

3 or more Scatter symbols appearing anywhere on the reels in the main game activate Free Spins accordingly:

  • 3 Free Spins symbols: 8 Free Spins
  • 4 Free Spins symbols: 15 Free Spins
  • 5 Free Spins symbols: 30 Free Spins

The bonus can be retriggered with a maximum of 60 Free Spins. It sounds a lot, but being a low to medium variance game you will need those spins if it's going to pay anything at all.

2 or more Free Spins symbols appearing anywhere on the reels in the Free Spins award accordingly:

  • 2 Free Spins symbols: +2 Free Spins
  • 3 Free Spins symbols: +8 Free Spins
  • 4 Free Spins symbols: +15 Free Spins
  • 5 Free Spins symbols: +30 Free Spins

The Super Reels will be active in every spin during the Free Spins which means Wilds can appear on all reels.

Conclusion

As you probably already guessed, we're not big fans of this game. Why? It is utterly boring and it doesn't pay anything, simple as that. At least Quickspin manages to offer some degree of entertainment when playing their low potential slots, but in this case...no.

We played it for an hour or two and after a while the slow playing bonuses got really tiresome to a point where retriggers actually started to annoy us. Ok, to be fair there is SOME potential present, but it would require a full screen of wilds/top symbol and even then it wouldn't be very impressive. In fact, a full sceen of wilds only yields a 250x win.

It's possible you will enjoy it, we didn't.
