In Slovenia inflation is measured with the consumer price index with which we measure changes in retail prices of goods and services from the point of view of the expenditure structure, which the resident population intends for final consumption at home and abroad.

In October 2018, 3.2% less cows’ milk collected than in October 2017
In the last five months the quantity of milk collected from agricultural holdings in Slovenia has been decreasing over the previous year. Also the production of milk products has been decreasing in recent months, except the production of acidified milk products, which is at record high levels.

GDP in the second quarter of 2018 up by 4.8% over the third quarter of 2017
In the third quarter of 2018 GDP increased by 4.8% over the third quarter of 2017. In the first three quarters of 2018 it increased by 4.5% over the first three quarters of 2017. Seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 1.3% over the previous quarter and by 5.0% over the third quarter of 2017.

In November 2018 the annual growth of consumer prices at 2.0%, the monthly growth at 0.1%
In November 2018 annual inflation stood at 2.0% and monthly at 0.1%. In one year, service and goods prices increased by 2.7% and 1.7%, respectively. Annual inflation was influenced mostly by higher prices of petroleum products and other energy products.

In October 2018 import prices increased at the monthly level by 0.4% and at the annual level by 4.1%
In October 2018 import prices were 0.4% higher than in the previous month and 4.1% higher than a year ago. At the monthly level, the prices of products supplied from the euro area increased by 0.2% and the prices of products imported from the non-euro area by 0.6%.

More than 423,000 tourist arrivals and almost 1.1 million tourist overnight stays were recorded in October 2018. Foreign tourists generated 70% of all tourist overnight stays. Health (spa) resorts were the most visited.
