DJ Black Coffee scores award in DJ capital of the world

South African DJ Black Coffee has won a massive international award.

The musician last night won the Breakthrough artist of the year at the DJ Awards‚ held in Ibiza.

The awards were launched in 1998 and span different genres‚ from techno to bass to deep house.

South Africa also received a special award as Dance Nation of the Year.

Black Coffee‚ real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo‚ is having an exciting month. His new album Pieces of Me is garnering rave reviews from fans across the world.

The single‚ We Dance Again‚ even spawned a dance challenge – which began on Instagram by Europe- based DJ Fuki Flex.

DJ Black Coffee picked up the #WeDanceAgainChallenge and called on celebrities like Cassper Nyovest‚ DJ Tira‚ Somizi Mhlongo‚ and Okmalumkookat to post videos of themselves dancing to We Dance Again. Many have obliged.
