Cobb was born in Brazil and arrived at MontRose at 10 weeks of age. His well-known paternal grandmother AKC Ch MontRose The Huntress ROMX I was born and shown at MontRose and she produced Chizel the first Best In Show Australian Shepherd in South America who is the sire of Cobb. Cobb made his show debut in December 2005 at an ASCA show and in one weekend went Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 5 point major and then Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed over five specials for another 5 point major. Cobb finished his ASCA championship on July 21, 2006 with Best of Winners for his third 5 point major and the following day was Best of Breed over seven specials. On April 25th, 2007 he was Winners Dog at the United States Australian Shepherd Association Nationals in Gray Summit, Missouri out of 137 entries to finish his AKC championship under Judge Sheila Polk. At the Greater Atlanta Nationals Pre-Show on September 29, 2007 Cobb took a Premier Award under Judge David Clayton, a Premier Award again the following day at the High Plains Pre-Show under Judge Michael Ryan, another Premier Award the following day at the Blue Ridge Pre-Show under Judge Heather Herron and then a Premier Award a few days later at the Nationals under Judge Terri Morgan, the only male to premier at all four shows. Cobb stepped into the AKC conformation ring in January 2008 and garnered a Group 3 herding win in Buffalo, New York and then in early February garnered a Group 1 herding win in Wildwood, New Jersey plus multiple Best of Breed wins.

Cobb took a long hiatus just to hang out, play with the girls, and swim in the creek. He left for the Colorado Nationals in September 2009 and at the Utah Pre-Show on September 26, 2009 garnered a Premier Ten Award under Judge Richard Pittman, final cut of ten dogs (only 5 Premiers given) the following day at the Southern Colorado Pre-Show under Judge Gail Karamalegos, another Premier Ten Award the following day at the High Plains Pre-Show under Judge Monica Canistrini and a few days later at the Nationals another Premier Ten Award under Judge Barbara Peters. In November 2010 Cobb earned ROMX I (Record of Merit) recognition with USASA (United States Australian Shepherd Association) with qualifying offspring titles in conformation, obedience/rally, and performance.

On May 18, 2011 Cobb was 1st place stud dog at USASA Nationals represented by offspring AKC GCh/ASCA Ch Hearthside Leave A Message and ASCA Ch SierraRose Dreamcatcher.

In June 2011 Cobb qualified for ASCA Hall of Fame (HOF) status at six years of age just shy of his seventh birthday.

On September 18, 2011, at age 7, Cobb was 1st place stud dog at the ASC of Michigan National Pre-Show under ASCA Breeder Judge Sunday Miles and two days later was 2nd place stud dog at the Nationals under ASCA Senior Breeder Judge Kiddy Christie out of an entry of 8 stud dogs. At the same Nationals show Cobb was sire to the three offspring of 1st place brood bitch out of 11 brood bitches in the ring. In September 2011 Cobb qualified for Record of Merit in conformation (ROM-C I) with USASA with ten titled champion offspring.

In August 2012, at age 8, Cobb had his 19th offspring acquire their ASCA championship.

In November 2012, at age 8, Cobb went to the ASCA Nationals in California. He was not shown at the first pre-show since his owner was judging. He was one of 10 dog premiers at the second pre-show under Senior Breeder Judge Glenda Stephenson and he was one of 10 dog premiers at the Nationals under Senior Breeder Judge Heidi Mobley.

In January 2013 Cobb earned ROM-C II (15 offspring titled in conformation) and ROMX III (offspring with 25 titles in conformation, obedience/rally and performance) with USASA.
