Community Engagement Grants Scheme (CEGS)

Applications for CEGS open 1 May 2019

The Community Engagement Grants Scheme provides funding to UOW staff for educational, research or outreach projects that partner with Community organisation and groups. Established in 2005, over $610,000 has been awarded to 73 projects.

CEGS projects:

  • Have Impact: CEGS projects address key challenges in our communities and take action to create real and measurable outcomes.
  • Build Capacity: CEGS projects are not one off events or top ups for ongoing projects. CEGS projects build the capacity of project areas toward ongoing and sustainable outcomes.
  • Support the vision of UOW: To be a leader in ideas and solutions, a community of campuses and partners where discovery, learning and technology connect to transform people and the communities that we live in.

Above all, CEGS projects are innovative, starting small and dreaming big – they create new and sustainable approaches, connections and futures.
