This enables us to apply on your behalf for the High Risk Work Licence class LF: Fork-Lift Truck Operation, issued by WorkSafe (WA). The course cost is GST exempt.

On successful completion a Statement of Attainment will be issued for the following Unit of Competency:
TLILIC2001 Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck.

 


Learning Outcomes:
  • Compliance with OH&S licencing legislation.
  • Communicate and work safely with others in the work area.
  • Identify hazards associated with the operation of the forklift truck and put in place effective hazard controls for those hazards identified.
  • Conduct pre-start-up, operational, moving loads and shut down and secure checks of the forklift truck according to procedures.
  • Operate the forklift truck and move loads safely, including driving and manoeuvring, picking up and placing of loads at various stack heights.
  • Drive forklift truck with load in forward and reverse, maintaining visibility.

 

What you need to know about this course :
  • – You do not need prior experience of forklift operations.
  • – You must be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe operation of a forklift truck.
  • – You must be able to read, write and communicate in the English Language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.
  • – You need to be at least 18 years to undertake this course due to WorkSafe WA Licencing Requirements.

 

Assessment Conditions :
  • – There are 3 sections to this assessment: written, calculations and practical demonstration of skills.
  • – This course is assessed using the National Assessment Instrument.
  • – It is a closed booked assessment and you cannot use any notes, learning materials or your phone.
  • – There are 58 theory questions of which 28 are critical questions and must be answered correctly, and from the remaining 30 non-critical questions 27 must be answered correctly to be deemed competent for the theory section.
  • – There are 8 calculation questions of which all 8 must be answered correctly to be deemed competent for this section.
  • – The theory and calculation sections must be deemed competent before undertaking the practical skills assessment.
