Steve Drury is a dishonest hay dealer. He delivered a load of poor quality hay to me last week and ...is refusing to take it back or refund me. He promised me quality orchard grass for our boarding stable and basically delivered brown dusty garbage and then left a mess in our stable since a good majority of the bales broke open when he flung them off his truck. He also refused to give us a certified weight slip to show how many ton he actually brought. He claimed 9.2, we counted and weighed the bales and it was barely 7. He is refusing to make the situation right stating that I asked for second rate hay which is not true. The twine on the second load which he is claiming was over 11 ton was so bad that a bunch of the bales broke open when his worker was unloading. I told him we didn’t want the hay and to stop unloading them (I was out of town when he brought it) but he continued to unload and dumped it on us and took our money- $5500 for twenty ton of hay and he left me with 7 usable ton and the rest is only barely edible for cows. He originally told me he would make good on his end but of course he never did and a week later is refusing to do anything but be a jerk. He has a looonnnggggg history of ripping people off in our horse community. Do a search on his name and you will find nothing but bad write ups. This guy is a real piece of work. Any reputable hay dealer with work with their clients- if they aren’t happy with the hay they take back and make things right. Now this guy- he’s all about himself. He is completely unprofessional, won’t answer your phone calls and then sends you nasty bullying texts. Oh and he thinks that just because he videoed some of our horses eating some hay (which I highly doubt was the hay he brought because no one here wanted to touch it let alone feed it to anything), he claims that it’s good quality.- not to mention the fact that he didn’t have permission to touch or feed ANY OF OUR HORSES ANYTHING! He was also overheard by one of our boarders giving his worker permission to smoke Pot in our barn so long as he smoked a cigarette after to cover up the smell- are you freaking kidding me!!! We have a strict zero smoking policy not to mention they were standing next to his dried out load of hay that could’ve gone up in flames in a second!!!! Wow real knowledgeable fella, what a joke. Please don’t let him scam you, stay far farrrrrrrrrrr away from him. Don’t be his next victim.
