Former OU QB Josh Heupel has been drafted by the NFL Europe Barcelona Dragons! Better yet, the Dragons do their spring training here in Tampa Bay! Oh yeah, so going to make a scrimmage or two if at all possible...
UPDATE: For those hitting my site searching for more information... James Hale of OUInsider.com is now reporting as of 3/9 that Josh Heupel has been cut from the Barcelona Dragons due to the lingering wrist injury (and as a result, not passing the team physical). He is reported to be back in Norman, Oklahoma now.  Ah, the Dragons. I lived for a year in Barcelona and it didn't take any of us exchange students long to figure that the European football teams are composed almost exclusively of Americans. Frankly, I'm not sure which I'd rather be -- an NFL player with all the money and the fame, or a Euro League player who gets to play football and live in BCN!! ah, I miss it there.... anyway, thanks for the flashback! ¤ ¤ credit: lfm | 02.10.03 at 12:41 PM | link- -this ¤ ¤ Damn, bad news for Josh.
