YouTube now lets you hold potentially inappropriate comments for review
This (beta) option is available globally and works on comments in English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese, Korean, French, Arabic, German, Japanese, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Potentially inappropriate comments will be in the "Held for Review" queue where you can approve, hide or report them.
YouTube notes the accuracy should improve over time:
The algorithms that power the “Hold for review” feature will not always be accurate. This feature is intended to capture the majority of potentially offensive comments, but it is possible that some potentially offensive comments may not be filtered. As you review comments that are held, the system will take that feedback into account and, over time, get better at identifying the types of comments to hold for review.

- I heard.38w
- Interesting.
Certainly a$$holes will immediately start gaming the system.38w - Peggy K+1+Kim Nilsson that's always true, unfortunately. But as the channel owner has the final say about what comments are ultimately hidden or reported, hopefully that reduces the false positive/false negative rate.38w
- +Peggy K I may make adjustments sometime. Mostly to the comments settings. Don't want anyone to think their feedback isn't welcome.38w
