Kanye West Doesn't Need Yeezus Tracks To Be On Radio

Samsung Galaxy Note II New York Launch Event

Kanye West's Yeezus album is due on June 18, just 8 days from now, and yet there still hasn't been an official single released to the radio. Instead, 'Ye has been content with performing his new material--on "SNL," at the Met Gala, and last night at Governors Ball in NYC, where he performed 5 songs from the album and explained why he couldn't care less about getting radio play.

'Ye began with "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves" (the pair of tracks he debuted on "SNL" in May) before performing "On Site," "I Am God" and another unknown track, which had heavy EDM influence. He then took a few minutes to explain why there has been little promotional push behind his new album.

"We ain't drop no single to radio. We ain't got no big NBA campaign or nothing like that--Sh-- we ain't even got no cover," he told the crowd, referring to the very minimal cover art for Yeezus. "We just made some real music."

"When I listen to radio, that ain't where I wanna be no more," he added. "And honestly, at this point I can give a f--- about selling a million records, as long as I put out an album y'all can rock to all summer."
