BLACKPINK Score Second Hot 100 Entry Thanks to 'Kiss and Make Up' With Dua Lipa

The female quartet can now claim the most Hot 100 entries among Korean female groups; Dua earns her seventh entry on the chart.

BLACKPINK continue to prove their global promise with their latest chart accomplishment.

The K-pop girl group scores their second entry on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Kiss and Make Up," the quartet's new release on Dua Lipa's recently released Dua Lipa (Complete Edition) album. The single -- where both artists are credited as lead -- debuts at No. 93 on America's main singles chart. The song sold 11,000 downloads and earned seven million on-demand U.S. streams in the week ending Oct. 25, according to Nielsen Music.

The Billboard Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming, radio airplay and digital sales data. All charts will update on Billboard.com Tuesday (Oct. 30).

"Kiss and Make Up" is BLACKPINK's second entry on the Hot 100, following the No. 55 peak of "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du" in June. Meanwhile, this new collaboration marks Dua Lipa's seventh Hot 100 entry, her first since "Electricity" with Silk City peaked at No. 96 in September.

BLACKPINK is now the only Korean girl group to score multiple entries on the Hot 100. To date, the only other female acts to enter the chart have been fellow girl group Wonder Girls (who entered in 2009 with the English version of their Korean hit "Nobody") and CL (who entered once in 2015 as the featured artist on PSY's "Daddy" and once on her own in 2016 with her English single "Lifted). With two entries, BLACKPINK is only bested by PSY and BTS -- both with four Hot 100 entries -- among all Korean acts.

With a new global record deal with Interscope Records and solo releases coming for each member (kicking off with Jennie on Nov. 12), Blackpink should continue to make major waves as a leader among K-pop's female acts for the rest of 2018 and beyond.
