- My great interest in design deepened during my studies at Rhode Island School of Design. This nice recognition for my graphical proposal for Martha´s Vineyard Museum further inspired me to continue my work in the creative area, says Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.

During Spring 2007, the Prince studied at the well-known design school Rhode Island School of Design in Rhode Island, USA. In tough competition with the other students, Prince Carl Philip submitted his proposal under a pseudonym.

Design Program for Martha´s Vineyard Museum
After finishing his studies, the Prince was commissioned to develop a design program for Martha´s Vineyard Museum. This design is intended to be used by the museum in its marketing and communication activities.

- It is a great honor to win the prize for best design proposal for Martha´s Vineyard Museum. I am very happy and proud of the prize, says Prince Carl Philip.

- I chose to use a light-house and develop it as a logo for the museum. It seemed natural to use a light-house and its strong light beam in the graphics for enlightment and the dissemination of information, says Prince Carl Philip.

The Prince carried out the complete design program for the museum after finishing his studies at Rhode Island School of Design, and he was payed by the museum for his work.
