Gorringe Park Avenue Waiting Restrictions
Over the years there have been numerous complaints regarding lack of parking for business customers on the section of Gorringe Park Avenue Between Heaton Road and Tynemouth Road, which has affected trade. As part of the decision made by the Cabinet Member for the Graveney Central Controlled Parking Zone, officers were instructed to review the parking situation outside the business premises during the first three months of its operation and give consideration to measures to improve parking for customers.
The Council is considering two options on how to manage parking provisions in this area.
Option 1:
- Two free regulated parking bays each on Heaton Road and Tynemouth Road.
- Unregulated parking in Gorringe Park Avenue.
Option 2:
- No parking restrictions in Heaton Road and Tynemouth Road.
- Free regulated parking in Gorringe Park Avenue between Heaton Road and Tynemouth Road.
All free regulated bays will operate between 9.30am and 7pm with a limited stay of up to 30 minutes, with no return within 2 hours. No Parking is permitted between 7am and 9.30am except for loading/unloading of goods for maximum of 20 minutes.
