Vote No on Nishi 2.0!

Two years after Davis voters defeated the Nishi 1.0 project at the polls, it's back on the ballot again as a housing-only project, minus the commercial component that was supposed to bring money to the City, but with the same bad air quality from the adjacent freeway and railroad. Vote No on Measure J!

The problems with Nishi include:

  • Bad air quality with lifetime health impacts
  • Millions of dollars of costs to taxpayers
  • Traffic gridlock
  • Uncertain agreements with the county and UC Davis
  • Better housing for students elsewhere

(If you're thinking, "but wait, isn't Measure J the measure that gives Davis citizens the right to vote on peripheral projects?" read this explanation).
