Countryfile tops quiet Sunday with 5.5 million on BBC One

Michael Flatley's ITV special attracts 3.4 million on Sunday night.

Countryfile came out on top in the ratings on a quiet Sunday, according to overnight data.

The BBC One nature series brought in 5.5 million (29.3%) at 7pm, followed by Antiques Roadshow with 5.0m (23.2%) at 8pm.

Drama Quirke continued with 3.7m (17.5%) at 9pm.

On ITV, Catchphrase puzzled 4.1m (21.5%) at 7pm (179,000/0.8% on +1). Michael Flatley's Night To Remember special entertained 3.4m (15.8%) at 8pm (192k/0.8%), followed by Bond movie Quantum of Solace with 1.9m (11.9%) at 9.30pm (154k/1.6%).

BBC Two's I Bought a Rainforest appealed to 1.6m (7.3%) at 8pm. Britain's Greatest Pilots intrigued 1.5m (6.7%) at 9pm, while D-Day: The Last Heroes brought in 1.2m (7.2%) at 10pm.

Channel 4's For the Love of Cars gathered 1.4m (6.6%) at 8pm (211k/0.9%), while Fargo's latest episode was seen by 1.2m (5.3%) at 9pm (182k/1.1%).

On Channel 5, Jackie Chan movie The Medallion attracted 912k (4.5%) at 7pm (114k/0.5%), followed by Resident Evil: Extinction with 785k (3.8%) at 9pm (134k/0.9%).

BBC Three special The World Cup's 50 Greatest Moments topped the multichannels with 805k (3.6%) at 8pm. In the Flesh continued with 260k (1.6%) at 10pm.
