Diversity training for Mark Carney and 180 top Bank of England bosses
Mark Carney and all other senior bosses at the Bank of England have been given “inclusive leadership” training as the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street ramps up efforts to boost diversity.
The Governor of the Bank is among 180 staff from head of division upwards who went through the sessions, which aim to train leaders to understand any unconscious biases which could affect their decisions.
After that the bosses were sent “nudges” - short activities to remind them to use their new knowledge in meetings or other ways of applying the training.
