Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 grand finale highlights: Punit J Pathak lifts trophy

Punit J Pathak wins Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. Punit takes home the Khatron Ke Khiladi trophy, prize money of Rs 20 Lakh and a brand new Swift car.

Rohit Shetty calls Aditya Narayan and Punit J Pathak on stage. The winner will take home the trophy, prize money of Rs 20 Lakh and a brand new Swift car.

After a heart touching performance by the contestants, Aditya Narayan announces that Rising Star will launch from March 16.

Akshay Kumar talks about Kesari. The actor says that he wants to gift the winner the sword he used in Kesari.

Akshay Kumar shows the trailer of Kesari to the contestants and audience. The contestants give him a standing ovation.

Ridhima Pandit was the slowest and gets eliminated. Now it is Punit J Pathak vs Aditya Narayan.

Aditya Narayan ends the task with a bang. All three finalists have completed the task. Rohit creates suspense over who was the fastest among them.

Ridhima Pandit has a calm start but forgets the code of her lock. The same door where Punit J Pathak took time becomes a reason for worry for Ridhima. Aditya is the last contestant to attempt the task.

Rohit Shetty introduces the final task which is a complete Bollywood style stunt. With car, a troller and a helicopter part of the stunt, the top 3 contestants seem really excited.

Akshay Kumar challenges Haarsh Limbachiyaa. The writer has to walk on a box with three sections each having creepy crawlies. Haarsh, who aborted maximum tasks in the season, has a tough time with the insects and reptiles.

Bharti Singh, Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar now get Aly Goni to kiss the iguana. After he completes the task, Bharti introduces their new show Khatra Khatra Khatra. Akshay and Rohit wish Bharti and co. good wishes for their new project.

Post a commercial break, Akshay Kumar is back with his challenges. After Haarsh Limbachiyaa, he asks Bharti Singh to kiss an iguana. While she is scared to attempt, she manages to give a peck to the reptile.

Everyone is surprised by Akshay Kumar's crooning skills. He even attempts to sing along with Shankar Mahadevan as the latter sings Breathless.

Akshay Kumar introduces the Kesari challenge that will test the contestant’s high kick skills. Shankar Mahadevan takes the challenge and in return asks Akshay to sing.

Akshay 'Khiladi' Kumar performs a daredevil stunt designed by Rohit Shetty. He shows off his acrobat skills as he overcomes obstacles on the road even as cars are blown up around him.

Aditya Narayan is introduced as the host of Rising Star. Bharti Singh joins the team and expresses her wish to host the show.

Rohit Shetty joins Rising Star judges on the stage and hands over the weekend mantle to them. The filmmaker wishes the team another successful season.

After the melodious performance by the Rising Star contestants, the judges of the show - Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and Diljit Dosanjh take the stage to perform on “Gallan Goodiyaan”.

The next task will be performed by Shamita Shetty and Punit J Pathak. The task is a perfect combination of fire and ice. Shamita is going first.

While Aly Goni is asked if he lied about his cramp in the final task, Bharti Singh is quizzed on whether Rohit Shetty also loves her. The game has come as a relief to the tensed contestants.

Rohit Shetty plays a fun game with the contestants. The contestants are asked to undertake a lie-detector test. Every time a contestant feels the selected participant is lying, they will have to break an egg on their head.

Aly Goni gets eliminated from the finale after he aborts the task. While Ridhima Pandit could not complete the task also, she outdid the level crossed by Aly. Aditya Narayan emerges as the winner of task.

After Aditya Narayan and Aly Goni, Ridhima Pandit attempts the task. While she was confident, the height task left the actor a little shaken.
