Candidate for New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District Earns Endorsement from Nation’s Leading Pro-Choice Advocacy Group

NARAL Pro-Choice America today announced its endorsement of Xochitl Torres Small to represent New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District.
“Xochitl Torres Small will be a fighter for the reproductive rights of New Mexico’s women and families in Congress,” said Ilyse Hogue, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America. “Xochitl Torres Small will be the strong voice for reproductive freedom in Congress that New Mexicans deserve and we’re proud to stand with her.”

For over four decades, they have fought to expand access to healthcare and reproductive options,” said Xochitl Torres Small. “As I have traveled the district, I have continually heard about the challenges individuals face getting the healthcare they need. If elected, I look forward to taking on these issues, and working to make sure that affordable healthcare is accessible to everyone.”
Torres Small started her career as a field representative for Senator Udall. She currently works as a lawyer in natural resource and water law. She has a track record of bringing stakeholders together to develop community-driven solutions to issues facing southern New Mexico and will be a fierce advocate for women and her community as a member of Congress.
