The Member Wellness Program is committed to helping legal professionals to build satisfying careers. This can include landing your first job, mid-career transitions, returning from a break in your practice or the choice to leave the legal profession. If you are new to Washington and don’t have your WSBA license yet, you are still welcome to participate.  Don’t hesitate to contact us — we’re here to help.

Our articles and videos will help you create effective strategies for job hunting, networking, interviewing and identifying your ideal career. Need more hands on help? Join us at our Weekly Job Group, where we cover these topics in depth.

In-Person and Virtual Job Groups

When: Six consecutive Thursdays, 9:30-11 a.m., beginning in September and January
How: Either in person at WSBA offices or by using the Zoom video conferencing platform
Cost: $30 for all six weeks
Sign Up: Virtual Job Group, Sept. 6-Oct. 11, or In-Person Job Group, Jan. 7-Feb. 21, 2019

We provide an in-person experience for those who can meet in downtown Seattle and a virtual experience for those who prefer to login online. Each group is six weeks long and limited to eight participants. Both groups cover networking, utilizing technology in the job search, informational interviewing, identifying your ideal career, giving great elevator pitches, and reviewing your resume. Participants will be encouraged each week to introduce themselves and describe their job search. The guidebook for this group is "Getting There: Your Guide to Career Success".

Phone Consultation

If you cannot participate in a career group we are still happy to connect.  Feel free to share a resume for feedback, explore possible paths in the law, or explore how to handle an upcoming interview.  We’re here to help. Contact us at wellness@wsba.org
