Man in dock over cul-de-sac sex case

A PENSIONER from Kempston has been charged with sexual offences linked to a Welsh sex cult.

Vincent Barden, aged 70, from Kempston is accused of rape while being aided and abetted by co-defendant Colin Batley and indecent assault against a minor.

Mr Barden and five other people are accused of sexual offences, which allegedly took place at a cul-de-sac in Kidwelly, South Wales over a number of years. The case is currently being heard at Swansea Crown Court.

Mr Barden pleaded not guilty to a rape charge, but guilty to two charges of indecent assault against a minor.

Barden and his co-defendants Sandra Iveson, 49, Shelly Millar, 35, Jaqueline Marling, 32, Elaine Batley, 47 and Colin Batley, 48 are charged with 46 offences between them.
