In addition to those who believe it's harmless are the ones who feel it is wrong and should be illegal. Because of the varying definition of pornography, it can be quite difficult to rule out a picture of child erotica as CP and there have been successful prosecutions made with the possession of child erotica. If one were to label all of these pictures as nothing but "thinly-disguised CP", it would also create a voidless storm of rage and whining. Lulz ensued. Despite their sexual tendencies that they will tell you over and over "it's not sexual", child modeling photographers have many limitations in comparison to amateur photographers. For one, they'll be autov& in the case that picture would be CP whereas amateur photographers can usually store their pictures for weeks in their hard drive without getting arrested. And the second limitation is there's no touching. But anything else behind the camera is Awwwright.
On *Chans[edit]
In the days of 4chan, during the years W.T. Snacks, the former faggot admin and wielder of the almighty Banhammer, once a CP thread was started the poster would be b& but the image he posted would remain. Of course, Mootykins, the top faggot of 4chan, was not pleased by this and decided to end Snacks' reign of banning by banning him. To no surprise did Snacks refuse to die in vein, so he decided to troll 4chan as much as possible.
But WTF does any of this have to do with this article? Nothing really, however non-nude threads of little girls and boys would be posted practically on every board on 4chan as well as any other chan after it. Most of these threads can go on until they break the image limit or until someone decides to troll the thread with a CP picture, thus having the entire thread closed and possibly b&ing every poster in that particular. With even more Lulz ensued.
It might come to no one's surprise as these threads don't usually get 404'd instantly. Possible theories suggest that Moot, along with any other mod that he hasn't already banned, enjoy these threads. And had it not been for the law, they would also enjoy the presence of CP threads. But if things were that way, /b/, and pretty much everywhere on the internet would be filled CP without any sort of removal.
