Dept. of OT Assists with Rim of the World’s Sensory Room
Heather Roese, her daughter, Kamille, Brianna Woodruff, and Liane Hewitt are assisting the Rim of the World School District to put together their Sensory Room.
The original project/plans was a service learning project developed by Natasha Safaradi, Rachel Lawrence, Amy Liu, and Tara Farry, Class of 2016. Equipment was ordered by the school district per the group’s recommendations and research. The group also presented their project to the school board with exceptional outcomes. The school district is very excited about their collaboration with the Dept. of OT at LLU.
Today’s OT Talk
To celebrate OT Month, advocate for greater awareness, and share ideas, first year student, Brittany Soltani, created OT Talks (think TED Talks). OT Talks are currently held once a week for the month of April. Today, Aaron Weiss and Erica Herra Johnson shared more about common myths surrounding occupational therapy.
