Ex-MLB star Josh Hamilton's ex-wife Katie, 37, sparks up romance with Dallas rapper, 23, who happens to be her DAUGHTER'S FRIEND on new Lifetime series
Katie Hamilton, the ex-wife of baseball slugger Josh Hamilton and ex-Real Housewives of Orange County cast member, is seen on the new Lifetime series Marrying Millions in a romance with a rapper 14 years her junior.
Katie, 37, who was formerly married to 2010 AL MVP Josh Hamilton, is seen in a courtship with Dallas native Kolton Pierce, 23, on the cable series that premiered Wednesday, documenting the love lives of six couples in which one person is wealthy and the other is not.
On the show (which is from 90 Day Fiancé's creators), Katie - who parted from Josh four years back - said she didn't 'even think about dating' until now.

In an excerpt from the series, Katie's daughter Julia, 18, told her mother that the relationship is 'super-weird' in that Kolton, only five years her senior, 'could be [her] stepdad' if things were to progress.
Julia said on the show that she was not pleased about the romance: 'If I would have had it my way, I would have not picked my mom to date one of my best friends.'

Katie - who's also mother to Sierra, 13, Michaela, 10, Stella, seven with the former MLB star - and Julia were later seen going to dinner at the Dallas hot spot III Forks, where Julia was immediately put off by her mother's romantic behavior around her new beau.
She said, 'Oh my gosh, you guys kissed - that's different.'

Katie said that Julia's discomfort with the relationship was something she'd give mind to.
'I feel torn that my relationship bothers my daughter,' she said, 'and I really have to reconsider how to move forward if she doesn't become a lot more comfortable here pretty quickly.'
The couple appeared on Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA this week, where they discussed the show and their burgeoning romance, with Kolton addressing suspicions from others he might be dating Katie for her estimated $10 million fortune.
'Ultimately, it really comes down to, I know myself, and how I portray myself to people,' Kolton said. 'Ultimately, there's some people that, they're going to believe what they're going to believe no matter what.
'It doesn't matter what I say or do and ultimately it comes down to, I want Katie to know that I'm here for her.'

Katie conceded 'there is a lot of drama' and there are 'a lot of questions' stemming from her romance with the young musician.
'This is really my first dating in like, 20 years - that's been a challenge for me in some ways, and its been an interesting dynamic with my daughters,' she said.
Josh Hamilton, who last played in MLB four years ago, will be inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame August 17, the team announced in May.
The slugger, whose career was derailed by injuries and substance abuse issues, told the AP in May that he's been immersed in raising his kids since his playing days ended.
'I've been making up for lost time with my girls, being Dad,' he said. 'Hadn't really thought much of baseball. It's one of things where I never cared too much about watching the game, but I loved playing it more than anything.'

He said that 'there's a feeling still inside of me that comes boiling up' when he watches games, as he believes he could still be a productive hitter at the major league level.
'I'd be lying to you if I said I still didn't feel like I could get out there and play,' he said. 'Then I remember why I quit. Just to be there for my girls.'
