[Initial Record](Hanteo Chart Official) BTS’s ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’ album reached over 2.13 million copies in sales.

On the 19th, Hanteo Chart officially totalled album sales and announced that BTS’s mini album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’ recorded sales of 2,130,480 copies as initial record(April 12th~18th).

BTS recorded album sales of 1,479,930 copies on the 12th, which was the day of the release of their new album. While the public expectation for the initial sales record of ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’ heightened as the sales record of the day of the release was record-breaking, 272,484 copies of the album were sold on the next day (13th) and 56,284 copies were sold the day after (14th). Within just three days of the release, the sales record already reached 1,808,968 copies.

Fans’ love for ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’ continued. BTS sold 114,281 copies of the album on the 15th, 93,582 copies on the 16th, and 40,189 copies on the 17th - and on the 18th, the last day that counts towards the initial record, saw 73,730 copies in sales, which resulted in total sales of 2,130,480 copies in a single week. This is one of the best initial records in K-Pop history.

Earlier, Hanteo Chart officially announced that the new release from BTS broke the initial record of LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear’s 1,003,524 copies in just 3 hours of release with 1,384,214 copies sold on the 12th.

According to Hanteo Chart, ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’(2,130,480 copies) ranks number 1 in the initial record of BTS with the sales until 18th, ’LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear’(1,003,524 copies) ranks number 2, and ‘LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer’ (868,052 copies) ranks number 3.

The initial record of ‘MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA’ is significantly higher than the other two albums ranked number 2 and 3. The public is surprised by both BTS and power of A.R.M.Y, the fandom of BTS.

Meanwhile, BTS is making global issues every day after releasing the new album through their appearance in SNL in the U.S. and presenting themselves well in press conference and music shows. Therefore, BTS is expected to steadily demonstrate good results in the sales of the album, and close attention is expected on their accumulated sales of the album.
