Celebrating our history and our neighbors and promoting environmental stewardship

The state of Minnesota celebrated Earth Week in Lafayette Park April 22 to 26 with a variety of activities for employees, contractors, neighbors and friends. Activities ranged from a collection of old cellphones and electronic detritus to guided history tours of Lafayette Park and Swede Hollow.

Fix-It Clinic Sewing

Cathy Latham, a Minnesota Pollution Control Agency employee, participated in the Lafayette Park Earth Week Fix-It Clinic as a member of Mobile Menders, a nonprofit that makes stops at sites where people need the assistance of a seamstress. The Fix-It Clinic was held Tuesday, April 23, at the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul.
